I'm starting to read this in class, and it has been difficult for me to read these types of stories without getting bored. How you read helps me focus and I enjoy this book now.

Just a tip, you should try to read other books assigned to you how this guys does. So you make them easier to get through for yourself. Add voices, read it like a play not just a story, add some emotion to the characters words.

I love the Different voices you give the characters it really helps me grasp the story and help me realize which characters which. The pictures you put in also help a lot.

This was amazing! I was reading the book for a book report and found out the due date was earlier than I thought, so I put this on the background while I played games.
I'm sorry, that is just sad---this is a work that deserves your complete attention & "playing games" while you listen tells me you need to learn some attention skills.
@kccoaster2 ай бұрын
@@vintagelady1 sorry you think that way, but I just wanted to get get it done for the book report. Later, after I wasn’t stressed, I took my time reading the book and properly enjoying it. Let’s not jump to conclusions :)
@vintagelady12 ай бұрын
@@kccoaster Reading it yourself silently is always faster than hearing it read aloud unless of course you have difficulty reading, in which case these ausiobooks are an absolute godsend. But for anyone who does have a reading difficulty, I PROMISE that if you follow along in the book as someone is reading aloud, your reading skills will improve. But using the audiobook so you don't fall behind on your video games? I stand by my conclusion in your case. And on that subject, let's not be condescending to someone who was teaching kids to read before you were an embryo. Glad you could take the time to enjoy the book.
@kccoasterАй бұрын
@@vintagelady1 Sorry you think in such a close-minded way that causes you to be oblivious to the possibilities of other options. Firstly, I didn't have enough money to afford the book so I couldn't read along, and secondly, I wasn't "keeping up" with anything. I played literally the most relaxing, mind-numbing game I could so I could focus on the book as much as possible. I can assure you that if I just sat there doing nothing while I listened, my mind would've wandered off much more. I currently have one the highest lexile and reading-scores in my honors English class, so you don't need to be such a hater.

It's not a bad idea, but LOTR is a LOOOOOONG story and it's very dense. If nothing else it would take a long time to make. I will definitely give it some thought, but I'm probably going to want to do something else right after this. I will certainly consider revisiting middle-earth after this book is finished though.

You clearly are not English, yet your english accents are impeccable. I am seriously impressed. It is respectful to the origin of the story, very english yes ( the england referred to does not exist, and if I remember right, the part of England Tolkien came from would give them a West Midlands accent which really, really, would not be the same). You must have some experience of England?? Your Gandalf is majestic, and reminiscent of sir Ian McKellen
@ironwolfstudios28572 жыл бұрын
I've actually never been to England. But my parents are mild Britainophiles so I grew up around a lot of British media. The real trick to learning an accent or dialect is to listen to someone who speaks that way naturally... for hours. I've spent probably literal months of my lifespan listening to native British speakers from across the UK. But the trick works with pretty much any accent. I learned west, north and south African accents the same way. Though those are much trickier.
