I love this game! Massively underrated! I honestly prefer this over the movie trilogy we got in the 2010s. As much as I did enjoy them, it just felt way too drawn out and too much CGI for my liking. The book will always be my favourite version of the hobbit overall.

I agree. I enjoyed the movies for the most part but the lack of practical effects, addition of pointless filler that wasn't in the book and the simple fact that it was nothing compared to LOTR, made them a massive disapointment. Both the book and the game are excellent. God Bless.

@@nordicwarriorgaming4953 yeah definitely. What’s your favourite level in the game? I might be biased towards this but for me it has to be inside information. It’s what the game what building up towards with confronting Smaug and reclaiming their treasure. It’s also the only level where Bilbo can interact with all 13 dwarves at once as in every other level, it’s only some of them here and there and not altogether at one. The story becomes a completely different thing once Smaug is slain. Do you agree with that too at all?

@@BrennySpain Yeah that level was extremely tense. I particularly like exploring the Shire since it gave the game an old RPG vibe. I would have like more levels like that.

@@nordicwarriorgaming4953 yeah definitely. Lake-town in a warm welcome definitely had a similar vibe but not to the same extent.

@@nordicwarriorgaming4953 plus considering the game was made in the early 2000s and probably on a deadline to get the game out in time, they probably didn’t have a lot of resources to go to go the RPG route. If the game had come out today instead, I could only imagine how different things would’ve been instead. Do you agree too?

So many memories. Still mad there was nothing to do after you beat the game (Then again this was the same with most games i played)

Yeah it would have been cool to free roam around the Shire and Rivendell after completing the main story.

Awesome review! I agree with a lot of your points. I’ve played through this game a few times now, and I catch something new every time (a chest I missed, a side quest I forgot about, etc.). That Shire level is the video game equivalent of comfort food for me, and I even love listening to the soundtrack on its own! Do you have a favorite tune from the game?
@nordicwarriorgaming49534 ай бұрын
Thanks. My favourite tune from it is probably Roast Mutton. Great track.
