Bravo my good man, bravo. The holey goat has risen. You have taken one of the most classic of all muscle cars and allowed it to flip the bird at death itself. And you did it like a human being. No computers, no freaking LS swaps. No thousands of dollars worth of fancy equipment. Just an actual garage and every man's tools and abilities. My old 69 LeMans would be proud of you. I'm sure it's smiling up as rebar from some concrete pad somewhere. Gosh I miss that car.

Congrats on the maiden voyage! I'm pretty sure that rear end I gave you is an 8.5 later then 72 model , which explains the longer snout. The date casting should be on the center casting next to the cover if you care to confirm. On a positive note , it should be stronger then the original 8.2 the car would of had!

@@PoleBarnGarage I made my own driveshaft years back for a Suzuki SJ offroader I built, put a 2.0 pinto engine in it, pulled great wheelies in low range, but if you went over 25mph your teeth shaking free from your head served as an early warning that things were about to go south! So I just trailered her and she was fine off road. 🤣

My dad's been daily driving a Mazda b2200 that he and I swapped to a 351 Windsor and C6. The driveshaft is made from a combination of the f350 driveshaft from the truck that the engine came out of and the stock Mazda driveshaft. He made it with a level and a cheap harbor freight wire feed welder. And he does burnouts with it all the time. I'm sure yours will be just fine. And we have had the truck up to 100mph. Which is the screaming maximum for it's gearing. What you feel is the solid mounted engine and barely any exhaust.
