Thanks Yasmin. Your music is always uplifting and inspiring. You are fortunate to serve at Culpeper, both the church and the community. The church has deep historic roots in our country's formation, as do a lot of churches in Virginia. John Leland, an early pastor of Cupleper Baptist, and James Madison (age 23-25 at the time) worked hard to influence Thomas Jefferson to write the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. Prior to that time it was illegal for non Anglican ministers in Virginia to preach or hold worship services without authorization from the King of England. Culpeper Baptist and other meeting groups had their pastors jailed and beaten on numerous occasions (Culpeper, Orange, Warrenton, Fredericksburg, Chesterfield, others). Culpeper Baptist has grown to become an exciting progressive church ministering to so many people. Blessings to you and the music ministry. And Merry Christmas.
