What does the tribe think of the latest audio setup? PS: The thumbnail was ridiculous. I thought Iʻd be able to dig deep into the wisdom of the jungle and find the holy grail but alas, I have fallen short.. Weʻre getting close though... Very, very, close. We shall come out victorious and motovloggers from across the land, shall have the secrets to the best motovlogging audio the free world has ever seen! www.paypal.me/tribepower if you feel like supporting

as an audio guy, I'm pretty sure this is the best motovlog sound anyone's ever got so far. Would be extra awesome if you indeed could get the conversations with our riding gais as you said.

I'm imagining the whole crew with this setup plus Sena's. Your bleep out button would be toast after the first 45 seconds.

I think you need to have someone follow you on the grom with a boom mic for best audio.

I don't think I have every seen or heard anyone's motovlogs that had better quality than your videos man. Always have enjoyed them.

also, glad to see you back again.

Man the plague of decent audio... we're working with massive wind noise, a mic ULTRA close to our mouths, and a setup that we have to connect to our heads. The fact that any motovlogging works at all, let alone sounds okay, is amazing! You've always had the best helmet sound!

You have always had the best audio in the game!

That one viddy yo where you were testing your audio and threw the gravel on the side of the road blew my mind back in the day. Right now what's most important to me is having clear engine sounds and actually capturing the bass tones

Kalani, I love your videos man, been a looong time viewer! I was here when motorcycle rider gets arrested came out, that was the first video I ever watched, one thing I have noticed about your videos though is that KZbin encoding I think faks you. Videos sometimes to be pixelated even at 1080p. Maybe it is me? Have you noticed the same? Would love to know!

hahahahaha.....audio test 1457.354....I feel ya. Keep it up. Always like your vids. I feel the hardest part is with windscreens. I ride an FJ-09 (and a DRZ but haven't really done much audio testing with that yet) and clean air on the helmet seems so much better than riding with a windscreen/windshield. High speeds (generally anything over 35-40) are just hard to get clear. Most of my testing has been with the tascam dr-05 and the sony lav mic. Most of my noise seems to be coming from the air hitting the helmet coming off the windscreen. Chopping the bass down in post helps a little but then you lose some engine noise. Wind flowing by the mic doesn't seem to be the issue but the vibration of the actual helmet resonating from the wind hitting it with the mic inside the helmet at higher speeds is hard to eliminate. I'd like to hear your setup while cruising at speed. Glad you are back!

would it be possible to record dual audio? One outside the helmet for bike/ambient sounds and one inside for voice, that way you could turn down the sensitivity a little for the voice mic to stop the peaking, and mix the ambient sounds in post? Would be a lot more editing work though, and recording space

Audio sounds good. I could hear some of the sound of tires on the gravel. Sounded nice. Usually your audio is on point. Your production values are pretty good, almost professional level (basic cable show professional). Your audio NEVER gets in the way of your story.

dahveed284 thank you sire! Tis what I strive for. I’ve even thought of running two channels, one for dialogue that cuts out almost all engine noise, and one for just engine. We shall see if I can ever pull that one off :)

sounds good enuf. I use the senheiser me2 in helmet, has great range and is nice and clear, doesnt peak, 3.5mm plug, no phantom power. went through a few before settling on that one. gotta find what your happy with for the most part.

Just went to your channel to listen but no viddyʻs!
@ARouser155 жыл бұрын
@@AccidentalBroadcast nah its a different channel. this one is just random me lol. your stuff is definitely still a few notches above. I went through a couple mics, audio technica, rhode, some other one I cant remember before splurging on this one (me2) which ended the chop, static and interference issues in conjunction with the gopro brand audio adapter. the offbrand adapters are mono garbage. the me2 still at high speeds loses some clarity and perhaps very lightly peaks out, but the slower more technical riding stuff its pretty decent with. wind is such a beast....
