I personally believe organized religion can be very powerful force for good and, if still supported by God, can guide people. However if that religion stops following God or tries to distort Him for personal gain than devotion to God requires one reject that religion. In other words blindly following a religion is not devotion and in fact may lead to the opposite

You really have a knack for weaving an interesting tale that draws the viewer in. If anything I'd add is a bit more levity in some of your discussions. When you make those cute little jokes it adds a bit of life to your words.

Says a lot that I’d still pick Aesfrost over them as allies. I can at least appreciate Gustadolph’s blunt and out in the open lack of empathy. Hyzante keeps using the phrase "equality" to describe themselves, but it couldn't be further from the truth. It's a state built on ideas of herrenvolk and ethnic supremacy, that is as far from what they claim to be as possible. And I'm on the fence as to whether or not the game seems to know this.
@JustsomeKid932 ай бұрын

All people are equal, but not all "humans" are people. If you can manage to dictate what is "human" who is "with you", then you can treat everyone else as "lesser than" allowing for greater welfare of "people" with the sacrifice of the "lesser beings"

The only good thing about Hyzante is it doesnt encourage its holy warriors to engage in holy martyrdrom. I expected one of the saintly seven to charge at us with a blast crystal screaming "For the Goddess!" /S Satire aside, I do find an interesting point about Hyzante's lack of martyrdom culture despite being based on the caliphates in MENSA is justified. If you encourage martyrs and the Roselle who suffer the most realized their suffering can become a form of martyrdom, it would destroy Hyzante as easily as they will blow themselves up using the aelfric made from their kin to spur up religous fervor.

One thing I never truly understand in this game, is why Hyzante is so powerful with their salt, like everyone seems to need it to live. No because unlike the Diofield Chronicles with the jade, it's just something normal from our world. Heck even Drogan diary reveal they're not even using it to salt meat, so all game I wondered why they seems so obsessed with the salt like they can't live without it.
@steveng67212 ай бұрын
Economic dominance abroad and religious/ritualistic significance at home.
@brooksjourney23512 ай бұрын
You literally cannot live without salt. In the Archives in Aesfrost there is a book detailing the effects of chronic salt deficiency. If you don't believe me, look up what hyponatremia can do to your body. It's likely why Lord Symone was so sick, too. Lack of ready access to salt can cause extreme heart problems.
@ninototo12 ай бұрын
@@brooksjourney2351eh? Do you think cavemen in the neolithic dug up salt to survive ? Tons of food naturally contains sodium, such as meat and basically all vegetables. The people of Norzelia would have survived easily without the salt of Hyzante. It makes little sense in game
@brooksjourney23512 ай бұрын
@@ninototo1 clearly you don't understand the economic superpower salt would be in a society that otherwise had no ready access to it. Yes, healthy sodium levels can be maintained with a steady diet. No, that doesn't mean people would be fine. Salt doesn't just prevent hyponatremia, it's also vital for food preservation without refrigeration (which Norzelia clearly doesn't have).
@ninototo12 ай бұрын
@@brooksjourney2351 "Yes, healthy sodium levels can be maintained with a steady diet" . So your entire argument has been refuted. You just need to eat normally to maintain healthy sodium levels. As for food preservation, that would be a fair point but if you had paid attention to the game, you'd know it is explicitly stated they don't use salt for food preservation.
