Blade made AleksiB better IGL, after win the major AleksiB in the arena mentioned about Blade. AleksiB in the past has superstars players, when hes was IGL, but it not work out. Because AleksiB could not handle ego players in team. In NAVI after Simple leave the team, he finally had young team core which ones actualy listening IGL , and all 4 players are not selfish. Really interesting interview with blade where not only is he insinuating aleksib was tier 2 before joining NAVI but also that he was micromanaging too much, too defaulty etc etc basically repeating all the hater points while insisting that its all him showing aleksib how its done. He even brought the point of aleksib changing so many teams while ignoring the context of those teams completely. While I do not doubt blade making aleksib even better, the timing of that interview worries me if its another case of a coach trying to throw his IGL under the bus even after just winning the biggest trophy there is to win. But maybe there's just too much lost in translation, hopefully its the latter.
@rulertrueself62366 ай бұрын
i dont think blade was undermining aleksib as an igl, blade himself has very different views on what a tier 1 igl is (boombl4 and electronic) so maybe he just meant aleksibs way of igling doesnt work in the navi system and unlike xtqzzz, blade did actually try to work with aleksib instead of benching him after a few months because he didnt like the way aleksib calls

He's clearly talking about his style. And coming from basically 80-90% tier2 or tier1.5 background, it's not that simple to just change everything immediately. Aleksib did micromanage players when he felt that they needed it, but in B1ad3's system everyone has to be responsible for their own decisions (which has been a massive struggle for iM for example early on) and I assume this is what B1ad3 means with tier1 IGLing. That you don't have time to wait for directions and responses because you need to react immediately to things happening on the server.
@TuomioK6 ай бұрын
@@romaliopI havent watched that interview but could it be that blade meant how aleksib was igl of tier2 players? That would make sense because then its exactly what thorin is talking about. Aleksib had to micromanage these tier2 players to work for him and in tier1 you need to trust those players more and not micromanage them. I dont know this is just speculation.

@darrenfleming79016 ай бұрын
I don't know if you can really call it a fluke when the only teams coming in with strong expectations are Faze and Vitality, and even Vitality has been unstable. The start of the CS2 era has been the biggest period of instability for the esports in 12 years and really only Faze has seemed to go through it untouched. Spirit looks good but they won one tournament and people act like they are an established and consistent team now which is unreasonable, none of the other teams actually look consistent and stable except Faze like I said. So maybe you can say it's a fluke because Faze is the clear favourite but I think it's a stretch to call it a fluke based on just the finals going unexpected, to call something a fluke I think you need multiple unlikely results lining up and that wasn't the case in copenhagen because there weren't clear favourites other than Faze.
@karlbastos28006 ай бұрын
@darrenfleming7901 imo I think 3 players overperformed. Unless Im has Jimmy butler thing and only performs in majors. The only player the was consistently performing throughout the major was alexibe
@darrenfleming79016 ай бұрын
@@karlbastos2800 I basically agree with you I'm just saying with how unstable and inconsistent every team is right now it's not as much of a fluke as the same result would have been one year ago for example, the teams that did look better than Navi weren't all that consistent themselves except obviously Faze so it's more of a tournament where everything is up in the air than a real fluke in my opinion.
@AndreasJacobson6 ай бұрын
What do you mean he's got s1mple? Is s1mple officially back in Navi?
@vittormp6 ай бұрын
The thing is that you've been going on on Twitter about Na'vi's win this major is a fluke. I understand that the stars aligned perfectly for him to have a shot at FaZe (it could've been much, much worse if Spirit didn't crumble, or FaZe even), but he still had to be there to grab it. And he was and they were. Now, I'm not doubting you really believe in his potential - that much I saw and now everyone sees it (again) in this montage. However, to say it is a fluke you're undermining the belief that you have in him being bigger and getting even more trophies. So I think a stance has to be taken: either you actually see the potential and the capability of him continuing to be a great, yet underrated, IGL; or you just think he's a fluke guy. I don't believe those to be compatible stances.
