I must say, this property is stunning, but it's a symbol of misplaced priorities. The owner is in his 50s, his kids are overseas, and I wonder when he'll ever get to enjoy this massive house. Not to mention, it's unlikely to be a viable Airbnb option. Couldn't the resources be better spent on something suitable for retirement? Even the old colonial homes in Mt. Pleasant were modest and practical, not these lavish displays of wealth. What happened to building homes, not monuments?

the house is too big , it will be a ghost house, as Africans we love big purposeless homes, I believe in practicality, they could utilise all that land for money making ventures.. and build lovely retirement home fit for retirees otherwise lovely home .

True, it's just a wasteful expense, they will be paying property tax on top of that plus maintenance. Between Zimbabwe is not an attractive investment destination, nobody will buy this house in case they want to sell. A smart person would build multiple smaller properties for renting. If he had done his research, he should have built this mansion in Cape Town, Pretoria or Joburg. Luxury homes sell like cakes. You could even rent it while you are in Zimbabwe.

Sometimes we don't realize how beautiful our culture is after staying so many years in the West where weaves/Brazilian hair are the standard. Uncovered short hair looks unkempt and Weaves are not an option either. Let's embrace the African headwrap.
