I bought my mother a lamp (100 watt bulb equivalent) and oil. She used it for two days when the electricity was out. The atmosphere was much better before that strip mall was built behind them.

Like logan said , the oil lamp is good for power outages . Your's was likely smoking because you had the wick too short or low fuel . I saw a lot I would have bought there but I am in Alabama which is too far from Amish country . Thanks for the vid .

What an amazing shop! I would love to visit one, one day. Looks like my kind of shop. Thanks for sharing! I've never had an issue with a lot of smoke from the oil lamps. I'm not sure what would cause that.

I live down the road from the store now and most of the stuff is way over priced, where i grew up in Frederickburg Ohio they have most of that stuff in stores or they sell it on the side of the road but dont hate the store, it gives culture out still

Dan, why didn't you buy anything since you said there were things like the plow that you could use? It it because you have a rental and don't plan to keep it for the entire winter? Hope all is going well in Florida? The winters in D.C. Haven't been so bad. I haven't been following the weather in MO.

I didn't buy the wheel hoe because I wasn't certain that was the model I wanted. There are better ones from other companies. I didn't want to buy anything though because i thought I'd be leaving soon. Also, I just couldn't really find anything that I needed or didn't already have. The only thing I may have regretted not getting was a digging hoe blade. I used to have one I got in Nicaragua, but I must have left it behind sometime when I moved.

Can you order it on lone? If so it might be better, then dragging it from here to there and checking it as luggage and then try to explain it TRS along the way..

Yeah, I think my plan is to order one online. I will have to rent a car from my parents house when I get there. That's where Banjo is.
