I don't understand why SOME of the English speaking reviews are really criticizing this amazing car! I test driven this car few times and I can honestly say it is such a fun car to drive. I don't understand why they keep complaining about the boot size, it is really descent size in terms of carrying normal day to day stuff from shopping to sport equipment's. If you are heading to Ikea to buy larger items all what you have to do is fold the back seat or use the magic seat for taller items like plants! Very good visibility for BOTH front and back! comfortable ride due to the 18" wheels, very Quiet, stylish look that gets people attention, support wireless apple car play and ( android, need cable though ), mid range has four USB type A ( two at the front and two at the back), new infotainment system, keyless entry, lots of safety features, knee room at the back seat is amazing even for taller people ( I'm just under 6 foot), Buttons on the steering wheel is not touch sensitive thank God, if you buy this from Honda it will come with many things added e.g. warranty, services and road recovery for 4/5 years included, 9" screen size that is decent ( not too big or small), digital dash board, drives great around corner, and don't forget it's Hybrid! I did test drive few cars from Lexus NX350h, Toyota RAV4 to Volvo XC40. here is what the dealer will NOT tell you, any car that is above £40K you will end up paying almost £500 a year on tax for it as it is brand new and above £40K. The top rang of HR-V is below £40K, the mid range seems to be the one that will become more popular. There are few things that could be improved but its not the end of the world and these are: wish there was a release button for the back seat, middle back seat is slightly raised which makes it good for kids but not for adults on long journey, wireless charging is only available in the top range and not the mid range, no USB type C unfortunately, the gear selector looks bit old fashion (big and tall) Tank size is 40L ( would've been nice to have slightly bigger size but since this is Hybrid its very economical), no rest foot area for your right foot, add front camera, maybe improve the sound isolation little bit for when driving on the motorway ( if you have music in the back ground you would not notice tbh). Overall this is great car that will save you money as long as it's driven reasonable ( easy with accelerating and breaking )

We’ve yet to get this new HR-V in North American so I hope Honda gives us much the same car as in Europe. I have seen some pics of the U.S. model and it appears we’re getting a much sportier and jazzy front than the boring front facia of this model. We’ll have to wait and see.

The so called ‘sportier’ and ‘jazzy’ front you’re talking about is plain ugly. This model you see here is much more of a classier and sleek design.

I have bought a HR-V and for the majority of drive time you cannot hear the engine, you can get some shortime engine noise on start up and if you accelerate too aggressivity, and I don't have a clue why you think the cvt is deficient. You require driving experience for best use of this car.
@alfamonk2 жыл бұрын
@@normie8895 not just me - many reviewers find it not very pleasant. it might be efficient but to have the engine revs crank up to 4-5000rpm at only reasonable throttle inputs isn't nice. Nothing to do with driving experience.

An almost correct explanation of the power train. One of the 2 electric motors IS the generator itself. So in both EV mode and Hybrid mode, there is only ONE electric motor to drive the wheels, the other being the generator which is driven by the petrol engine to produce electricity and send it both to the main electric and to the battery.

Honest review about this car ,i need to address this things to honda engineers. 1. needs to put twin cvt add more power high kick motorway. Too much rev ??? 2. No 12 volts constant source in the cigarette port we need that for to power the dashcam even the ignition are completely off. 3. The 3 seat at the back some country honda dont sale this as 5 seater only 4 seaters, the middle head rest at the back cant be enter changed with left n right head rest,the reason if you put child booster seat. The end up tilting towards the front cuz by the head rest, the 3seat behind are quite tight for 3 adult person even harder when you put the seatbelt on. We need adult standard seat the back. 4. Im hoping all honda are protected "BUILT IN" catalytic "SHIELD" thats where the thieve main target . The hrv catalytic converter are very expensive and hanging underneath the chassi like a Christmas light and super exposed could be gone at least 2 minutes . 5. Apart all my concerns and needs to improve, the car built for comfort suit for my need

A sleek design (if derivative) compromised by a mediocre and under-performing drivetrain. Wish it was better than it is. I'd buy one if they gave it a 240hp linked up with a moderate hybrid layout and SH-AWD. As it is, a lot of buyers will pass. A used Mazda CX-9 has more appeal.
