For kids in my family, we would rather the sound of the belt than having to go get the "attitude adjuster." That was a length of 2x4 with a handle cut in it and wrapped in electrical tape.

Gen X 1965, I honestly don't see what was so tough or horrible about the way we grew up. I had a blast and would love to relive it. Wouldn't change a thing. My parents would listen to me and my brothers and sisters talking about stuff when we were growing up and my mom was almost to tears apologizing for not being able to give us a better childhood. She was shocked when we all told her there was nothing to apologize for. We wouldn't have had it any other way.

There aren't litter boxes, per se. There are buckets of litter in case a child needs to pee during a lock down. Like when a "pew-pew" user is in the building.😢

As a GenX '68 I thought my Depression era born Dad, and teachers were Demons with their use of the Strap for Corporal punishment. However they saved me by putting an emotional 'bridle' restrait on me when I took up motorcycle road riding as well as life in general. Still riding 40 years later with no serious injuries. I'm a 1971 X...i remember hitting my friend in the face with a lawn dart and almost blinded him. I remember my friends and I found a construction site of a house with just the concrete basement put in and we fought in it like gladiators in the colosseum. Hitting each other with some old chrome aiding we found off a car and throwing hub caps at each other. I remember my buddys dad punched me in arm as a kid and black n blued my.arm and I flipped out and clocmed.him with a piece of down tree.limb. I remember throwing a 33 1/3 LP. Like a frissbee and clocking my older sister in the face.with it. Still feel bad about that one since she is kin and all. I remember playing smash up derby on bicycles. I remember burning stuff.
