the only legit kill I remember was achieved by a cheetah it hadn't eaten in a long time and had to feed a cub so it got a lot of attack bonuses through that but it still took 4 hours like I'm to lazy to cook for half an hour for a delicious meal that cheetah had to strangle a nonstop screaming badger for 4 hours for some little raw meat so yeah it's one of the least efficient ways to grind XP you might spend more ressources to recover from the battle than you end up looting it's rare someone is desperate enough for this

You forgot the honey badger's most important INT ability; intimidation resistance, commonly known to the player base as "not giving a shit." Humans have this ability too, as do many top-tier builds. The second big advantage they have is unlike the florida man build, they wont have to deal with the madness buildup that happens to floridiam mains from time to time. In the Nature Gamemode many would probably consider the Australian Mains to be Top Tier, mostly together with some Siberian Mains who have unlocked the rare Bear Taming Skill, probably due to their insane Buffs from Vodka

Hot take: Honey Badgers get an artificial boost on most tier lists because every single Honey Badger main is a tryhard. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but I have yet to meet a single Honey Badger main that wasn't a tryhard and I would honestly love to be proven wrong. Same thing goes for Geese because of their toxic player base. I swear it's like having a high intimidation stat without actually investing that many points in it simply because no one wants to deal with that shit. If you ever see the Goose build put at the top of S-Tier, I guarantee you that tier list was made by a Goose main. Every single time.

A build doesn’t need OP stats to count as top tier. The ability to make an otherwise average build work on the highest level when used to it’s full potential is something I’d call a „natural/true top tier“. It’s obvious that the badger has a very tough quest line to unlock it as a playable character, considering the tryhard density in badger mains. Competing directly with specialist builds that are meant to be top tier with a balanced build provides much more engaging gameplay than their competitors. You might see it as toxic or smurfing, but I see it as the quintessential high risk, high reward build, that only works so well because it’s a hard counter to meta-hugging.

Two fun and relevant facts: One, Ferrets can use a noodle dance to exploit a loophole in the Rabbit morale checks and essentially hypnotize them despite not having access to any Roar or size-difference effects. An important part of the wolverine (and badger) playstyle that you forgot to mention is the intimidation factor. When playing, players are constantly sizing up prey in a risk/reward fashion, and asking themselves: 'is the exp I'll get from this really worth risking my whole playthrough for?' And that's what honey badgers, and to a larger extent, Wolverines, are going for. Yes, a polar bear can 100% solo a wolverine. It's almost never worth it for the polar bear, however. The fact is, wolverines and badgers do not care about their own lives, and will go out of their way to spite, maim, and possibly kill, those that would mess with them. This MAY end their playthrough, and usually does, but that's just it: A predator that just tangled with one of these animals is either going to be so hurt from the fight that it'll impact the duration of the rest of their playthrough in a HUGELY negative fashion, OR they'll just flat out die from their wounds. This makes it so that, whenever a predator sees a scavenged carcass with a wolverine attached, they'll steer clear. They'll even be willing to just hand over their own kills to the darn thing, just to avoid tangling with the crazy psychopath that is known as the Wolverine Main. Which is precisely what Wolverine Mains want. When they fight to the death against a predator many times their size, they aren't planning for their OWN continued playthrough, but for subsequent playthroughs, as well as the playthroughs of other wolverine mains. In my opinion, this exploitation of player psyche actually ranks them on a higher spot than the one you've assigned them, here.

The reason mustelids are so good at getting crits against other players and intimidation is because their intelligence is closer to a primates than most other carnivores. Otters and ferrets are famous for their ability to play, recognize property, stealing shiny things (like crows), and wolverines and otters have more complex family structures than any other apex predator, except cetaceans and primates, which is pretty ridiculous when you consider they're generally solitary animals! Their intelligence is masked by their testosterone levels, which brings out some really unbelievable aggression but they're so cleaver they get away with fighting grizzlies. Mustelids are a relatively new family also, the wolverine found its niche during the late Pleistocene, when the complex, incredible savanna ecosystems were collapsing! The same situations that made arctodus simus and panthera atrox go extinct was the situation that wolverines were able to capitalize on.

Just wanted to add two notes: 1. The otter has the densest fur in the entire animal kingdom. The most hairs-per-inch of every living creature. This is what allows it to be aquatic. Not only does it insulate on its own, it traps air which provides an additional layer to prevent heat from escaping. 2. The honey badger has a special team up relationship with the honey bird. The bird finds beehives and leads the badger to it. The badger rips apart the hive, sedates the bees, and eats the honey. The bird prefers the leftover wax.

A guy was playing ball with his dog, threw it into the lake, and into a nest of otters. Well, the otters attacked and started to drag the dog under. The guy had to wade into the water to SAVE HIS DOG, and I believe got some bites and scratches out of the ordeal as well. The goat was unrelated, but it was two very on-brand Alaska headlines back-to-back.

Sea otter main here. While I enjoy the representation of otters, the separation of river otters/giant otters and sea otters needs to be stated here. Only sea otters have unlocked the tool use perk, so no tool using giant otters for you. Also, sea otters have ridiculous food costs, needing 25% of their body weight in food everyday to survive. They're not light, either, weighing an average of 50-60 pounds and the heaviest being 110 pounds. The food cost gets even higher with a baby, so high that sea otter mothers have to make one of their babies quit if they have twins. This is because sea otters don't have any blubber in their build, so they rely on their metabolism and fur to keep warm. The trade-off is that you aren't as good of loot as marine mammals with blubber, such as seals, but it's not that good of a trade-off. The real reason you play a sea otter is for the ecosystem you're a part of, as the sea otter build is a keystone species to the kelp forest server. Without sea otters, places called 'urchin barrens' spring up, where sea urchins gang up on any kelp loot that shows up, hence the name. Nice video otherwise!

Off the top of my head, I don't think he's ranked any INT-focused build below B tier, but he covered a couple mistakes some such builds make in another video. IIRC, they were not putting enough points into dexterity, which keeps you from a lot of tool use, and picking a build with a low life span, which prevents your character from learning enough to use its high INT to its full potential.

@@IamGrimalkin Disagree. Portia spiders are an example of an intelligence build with a very low size stat. They use this intelligence to outsmart and grief other spider mains, especially those who focus on web-building strategies. Portia spiders can stealth or even create false messages on webs, setting up surprise attacks that allow them to take on higher weight classes of spiders and win.

we have a family farm that is in an area that has one of the most venomous snakes in the world, so we got a honey badger by the recommendation of a neighbor. it needs to be trained and fed really well and it will be a good pet, it ate many snakes until we rarely saw any of them. if you want them as pets, be careful, if you don't teach and feed them right then they might as well say goodbye to your chicken coop even if it was protected under the same security system in Guantanamo bay, they would still get into the coop and kill all the chickens. anyway, he once killed 2 wild dogs that looked like a rottweiler.

If you somehow manage to glitch into the plant guilds, all you get access to is creep effects and an RTS mini-game trying to steal resources from those around you. Realize that without mobility any pvp players can do anything to you, and I mean anything, likely resulting in a crash instead of a game over. (Don't risk losing your account over this!) I recommend continuing your human character and play the crafted sub mini games agari.o or age of empire clones instead, or if you really want a sedentary playthrough go sloth or manatee.

So here's a video suggestion I got: A video similar to the "what if dinosaurs got unbanned" but focusing on pterosaurs instead. Pterosaurs would be very viable to compete with modern birds and bats because at least some Pterosaurs are thought to have been quickly able to fly shortly after hatching, which would offer them a huge edge against modern birds & bats that must invest a lot of time in raising their young. Additionally, their much larger size would also allow them to easily outcompete modern birds. Pteranodontids and other fishing pterosaurs would compete against modern seabirds, anorugnathid pterosaurs would compete against modern bats as nocturnal insectivores, the likely omnivorous but mostly fruit-eating tapejarid pterosaurs would likely out compete modern frugivores, due to larger size and higher mobility as well as potentially high intelligence for pterosaurs, considering their closest modern relatives being birds and crocodilians, (which are surprisingly intelligent for reptiles, being able to set up traps & engage in coordinated group hunting, as well as a unique vocaliztion system [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crocodile#Cognition, ]). Tapejarids have large headcrests which probably were used for social displays, would would require some advanced cognition to evolve. Their behaviour would likely be similar to modern hornbills, which are large arboreal birds with large display headgear and feed on fruits and small animals. Thalassodromids and Azhdarchids (which are thought to have mostly hunted on land, and being very mobile on land for a giant flying creature, and may have likely been able to gallop on land similar to giraffes) would compete against modern big cats and canids as hunters of large prey, and their ability to quickly launch into the air would let them easily evade fights, their height could be used to intimidate predators away from their kill, their ability to severly wound prey with their long sharp beaks, or pick it up into the air and drop it into the ground with those same giant beaks (The largest of azhdarchids would have been able to pick up humans into the air). Dimorphodontids would be semiarboral predators, Eudimorphodonts would fare well as seagull like fish hunters, and more slender winged Eudimorphodonts which would be semiarboral generalists & carnivores, so they could be able to compete against corvids (however corvids would likely fare better due to their high intelligence). And there;s probably many, many more pterosaur groups that I haven't mentioned that could have interesting affects on modern ecosystems.
