I'll have to disagree about one thing... Hotdogs are not the grossest thing we make to eat. Consider the lowly sausage, which contains all the things they won't put in a hotdog. But alas, the prize goes to scrapple, which contains all the scrap (hence the name) that they deem too disgusting to put in either the hotdog or the sausage. And that's just here in the US. BUT! Just when you think you've hit bottom, lets try some haggis. Cooked in a sheep's stomach, made from minced sheep's heart, liver, and lungs, along with oatmeal and suet (hardcore fat) and a few vegetables to try to make it look like food. So, I implore you to respect the hotdog. PS: And I agree with the guy below... blood sausage, head cheese (just the name! 😝) and pigs feet are not food.

Oh I 100% agree. This drives me nuts. I eat more plants than meat but... I still do eat meat. You vegans sure put in a lot of energy processing and chemicals to make your stuff look and taste like meat. I have never needed my plants to taste like a burger. Look like a hot dog. If I want something like that. I'll eat the real thing. A tasty veggie burger is not going to convert me to a vegan lifestyle. Instead it makes me look at you weird... because why do it? Just let veggie meals be there own thing and BBQ some corn and watermelon instead.

I only get hotdogs Kosher approved, which fun fact is also Halal approved. We are neither Jewish or Muslim/Arabic. We just don't want to eat scraps. All Natural Beef no preservatives. Damn preservatives caused my youngest allergies, mine were from being given foods WAY before I should have. Allergies from me being born in 65 were WAY different than now. I knew only 1 other person with allergies growing up, she went "shots" to help build immune system, we went "stay away from. Grew out of mine. BUT guess what, I'm allergic to ALL thing coconut now. You know how hard it is to buy suntan lotion without coconut and the preservatives need to use coconut in lotion as the top preserved ingredient? SMH.

My daughter and I are in a competition at the moment. On July 5th I challenged her I could go vegan longer than her. Once one of us slips, we go to vegetarian, then pescatarian . I'm a meat and potatoes guy. Hate vegetables. We are both stubborn and neither of us have failed stage 1 of the challenge. Doesn't help that my wife and boy aren't doing it with us. One thing I've learned about vegans is, they live in a make believe world and must never look forward to eating. Who gets excited about eating nuts and brown rice and oatmilk? Wish me luck. She is strong willed like me. Positive note, I've lost 5 pounds.
