Are your autologous stem cells also available somewhere out of clinical trials? I have a family member with Parkinson disease that could really benefit from them.

I had stem cell treatment a year ago. The results are still good. How long does the treatment for stem cells last? I'm sensing for a year this is zero progressive. Yet another progressive year of Parkinson's walking.

Do this treatment improve your walking? Or did it stop you from getting worse?

Thank you for sharing your experience. Hope Biosciences is the only entity in the world culturing adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells for FDA-authorized work exploring the effects and efficacy of high volume, repeated treatments; not knowing what you received, when, where, or how, we are not able to comment on what you might expect. We can, and are happy to, share that our cells are currently at work in five FDA-authorized studies in Parkinson’s Disease, including both autologous (using your own) and allogeneic (using carefully selected donor stem cells) trials, and one study in patients over age 76, making this the most comprehensive suite of Parkinson’s research anywhere, of which we are aware. For the most recent news concerning Hope Biosciences’ cells and Parkinson’s, please check out this article: Houston Research Organization Successfully Treats 24 Patients in FDA-Authorized Parkinson’s Study | Hope Biosciences Stem Cell Research Foundation

My mom has advanced stage 4 COPD (her lungs are in very bad condition from smoking) and her prognosis is not good. We have been introduced to some options related to Amniotic Cells and Fat Cells. The problem with fat cells is that if her weight is so low can any be harvested? We are at a crossroads on what to choose but it would seem that Amniotic cells are better. Maybe you can comment on this.

Thank you, The Star Family , for reaching out. We are saddened to read of the challenges your family is facing, and appreciate you trusting us with your inquiry. To the question of the feasibility of harvesting mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue (i.e.) fat at a low body weight - assuming an individual meets all other health criteria for banking (such as freedom from certain communicable diseases), we have not yet met someone who could not supply the approximate tablespoon required for successful stem cell banking at Hope Biosciences, including a number of medically frail individuals with body weights labeled as “failure to thrive,” themselves in dire and fragile medical condition. We cannot supply more specific information without speaking directly to your family’s representatives about her precise circumstances, but we certainly welcome the conversation. Please call (832) 975-8840 to speak with the team.

What about RPE cells ?
@hopebiosciences
@hopebiosciences Жыл бұрын
Thank you for reaching out. For the benefit of anyone reading this who might wonder, “RPE” stands for “retinal pigment epithelium.” RPE is a single layer of cells between the photoreceptors and the choroid in the eye, where they serve as a caretaker of photoreceptor health. RPE damage or dysfunction is a traceable cause of many inherited and acquired eye conditions that eventually lead to blindness. To date, Hope Biosciences has not seen our cells at work in an FDA-authorized study in eye conditions, though we have had initial discussions with ophthalmologists and other experts, and very much hope to. If you would like to help create a demand signal for this type of work, please visit Hope Biosciences Research Foundation and enter your information into the proprietary Patient Registry, found directly at this link: hopebio.org/patientregistry.

I thought culturing stem cells is currently illegal in the US

Cultured stem cells are considered biological drugs in the United States and regulated as such. All the stem cells that Hope Biosciences produces can only be administered under an FDA authorized protocol or if a patient qualifies under the Right-to-try law.

Thank you, Falcon Wings, for sharing a bit of your story. It is too small a sliver of your total health picture to respond precisely, so we would like to refer you to this article, about the effectiveness of cells cultured at Hope Biosciences, LLC in alleviating Rheumatoid Arthritis. As you will see from this peer-reviewed piece, these patients experienced both quick and lasting relief. What if you don't have your stem cells banked ? I guess you have to bank your stem cells when you are a baby ? If you are 70 year old with Parkinson's disease without banked stem cells, then I think you need autologous ones, right ? What kind of stem cells are best for Parkinson's disease ? Umbilical or bone marrow ? I remember I read an article about clinical trials you are doing for Parkinson's disease. How are these trials going ? When can results be expected ?
