It's not my profession but I've been learning about cell biology so this video was useful to me. Thanks for this. I have learnt that stem cells are cells which haven't differentiated yet, and a quick chat with chatGPT has informed me what pluripotent and multipotent mean. So pluripotent is when the cell is able to differentiate into almost any cell type, and multipotent is when the cell is able to differentiate into many different cell types but not all. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm here to learn.

Thank you - Is there current research into using MCS's for T1 diabetes?
@hopebiosciences
@hopebiosciences 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave! There is quite a bit of research being done in T1 diabetes and two human clinical trials in the United States. The Prochymal trial is already completed but there is another one recruiting: clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04061746 . It's a single infusion safety study using UC-derived MSCs. We are eager to see progress in this indication!

Has Hope Bio achieved any success in treating progressive MS with fat-derived MSCT? I know there's a clinical trial being conducted there for relapsing MS. I'm very interested in hearing what the results are and if the participants' disability scores improve.

Hello! Sorry for the late reply! There are no trials for PPMS yet and the one for RRMS is set to end this year. We are eager to see the results of that study!

Great Video - best of all the many I watched. QUESTION: Why are most "Regenerative" professionals stating that "Cartilage cannot be rebuilt" ?
@hopebiosciences
@hopebiosciences 2 жыл бұрын
Great question Robert! Fact: Pure mesenchymal stem cells are capable of regenerating and rebuilding cartilage. The problem: Most "regenerative" professionals do not have access to pure, characterized cells and they are likely selling products that are marketed as "regenerative" such as PRP and tissues that supposedly contain stem cells. It is accurate to say that these products are unable to rebuild cartilage in the way that actual stem cells can.
@RobertLongM
@RobertLongM 2 жыл бұрын
@@hopebiosciences Thank you! It's funny how even they say OF themselves using Bone Marrow doesn't help. One said you can't rebuild without a Bio-3D printer too. I'm studying the clinical trials of stem cell on Ligaments, specifically CranioCervical, yet any study I find on Mesenchymal doesn't appear to have Reults or Fruition. Not easy to read those reports.
