My father in law told me that he had a couple of German prisoners carrying a litter with a camp prisoner on it. One of the Germans let his end drop on purpose hurting the patient. Then the German laughed out loud. Another soldier just shot the German right then and there and told another German to pick up the litter and carry it. He said there were no more dropped litters by Germans.

Even in that situation, some of those guards still had an air of arrogance & even believed that the allied soldiers would give them a free ride.

I too cannot understand how any ONE person can commit mass murder let alone the hundreds/thousands that just allowed such inhumane , disgusting violence against other human beings then after being caught act like they have done nothing wrong and it was “ following orders”. Never never will I understand. I just wish the poor poor prisoners would have overrun the guards and escaped. The number of prisoners to guards were very very off. My family prays for all who suffered, died and also for those Americans who found them and liberated them all. Words are not enough, there are not enough tears for this despicable place.

I was there in September. And I had a broken foot that I just had surgery on so I wasn’t able to walk it but took a scooter and it was just heart wrenching. Our guide was like a former history professor volunteer. It’s almost made up when they’re telling you some of these numbers. Because you just can’t seem to fathom cruelty on that level. But you know it’s true. I think it was Stalin that said 100 deaths is a tragedy. 1 million is a statistic. I hope we never see this again.

Sorry, not sorry that some Dachau SS Guards, and Kapos met a violent end. I’ve read far too many Holocaust memoirs that depict the majority of the SS and Kapos as vicious sadists. I wish that Americans could have liberated Berga an der Elster, which was a subcamp of the Buchenwald concentration camp before the SS forced the inmates on a death march. Before the death march, Berga prisoners, including 73 American POWs, died as a result of malnutrition, sickness (including pulmonary disease due to dust inhalation from tunnelling with explosives), and beatings, at the unspeakably cruel hands of Berga leadership. Unfortunately the Berga SS leadership did not receive adequate punishment for their murderous WWII savagery.

With regard to the guards being killed by prisoners, the U.S. troops were in a difficult position. In order to prevent it, they would have had to use force, perhaps lethal force, and that would not have looked good to say nothing of being arguably unjust. Nobody who wasn't there will ever know whether the guards in the courtyard were really trying to escape but it's not implausible. The recorded numbers of guards taken prisoner argue that there couldn't have been very many summarily executed.

Jews were respected part of the German community, WW I veterans until Hitlers ideology came along and stamped them as enemies of the German people. I remember a former president of our country said: We have to punish our enemies ( meaning republicans). Where are WE going right now?

The reason Hitler despised the Jews was because they always manipulate to gain supremacy at the expense of others : be it money or power , music , yes classical music! land....the list goes on Hitler saw what they had done to Germany and what they continue to do worldwide. They represent something like 3% of population BUT can boast 35% of influential , banking and political positions etc.......oh, and media control....

You are engaged in incorrect information. Dachau did not have a gas chamber during the war. Greetings from a man who lived 5 miles from the camp. Give up the facts and truth. Not fable over falsehoods. That's not true what you say. Prisoners in Dachau received good treatment from the Germans. They had to. Then Germany had to have workers when their men were soldiers. You say the wrong info here. Ask me if you want facts about KZ Dachau.

The medical experiments in the Dachau concentration camp, altogether with the heinous crimes Germany perpetrated during WWII (especially on Jewish people), must force us to start thinking about deaths as a result of Covid victims. By definition, it was a medical experiment a lot worse than in Dachau. Some people and organizations in China and US know exactly how the pandemic was started, where it was started, how much it cost, and who participated in the cover-up, All these people must be punished similarly to Dachau guards even if they are high-ranking government officers

The only issue with Germans is their sense of entitlement...never goes away Towels put by the pool before breakfast to stake their claim. In fact, that is the real problem , the Jews are the ‘chosen ones’ and look down on others outside the Tribe’. They are both cut from the same cloth , as the Jewish Tailor would say!
