Jon Baird it might get them if they got rid of the music, it gets on my nerves and the only other version on u tube the narrator puts on a real silly voice. The horrorbabble guy, lan Gordon would be good.

This is one of the stories pieced together by another writer after H P Lovecraft's death, and so doesn't get the attention of a true Howard P. Lovecraft tale. However, I've always liked this one. It's far superior to most of the other copy-cat post-Lovecraft literature in his name. It's got eerie mood, and most importantly, has a unique idea with a shock reveal at the end that is the essence of a true Lovecraft tale.

I agree, the music is annoying and so not needed.

One of the best of the copy-cat Post-Lovecraft tales - Hazel rocks it like few others. Plus, I remember that awesome paper back cover art and reading it late at night while cramming in collage. So taciturnly eerie and full of singular indefatigable dread!

Actually, I think Lovecraft ghostwrote most of Heald's works.

Hp Lovecraft is the Best author by far , making everything else a disappointing experience into a hopeless abyss of Eldridge drudgery , lacking any real creativity and the only words escape the horror of the situation. Ok Bram Stoker and Clark Ashton Smith may have a few good yarns , however, nobody even comes remotely close to Howard - sometimes: I think Mr Lovecraft is really telling the truth about parallel worlds that have been documented in , found text , that where found in Tartarian vaults .

CAUTION - this is not an H. P. Lovecraft story, dear listener. Hazel Heald is writing as "Lovecraft" after Howard Lovecraft's death. However, I've always liked it. It's far superior to most of the other copy-cat post-Lovecraft literature in his name. It's got eerie mood. But most importantly, has a unique idea with a shock reveal at the end that is the essence of a true Lovecraft tale.

@@kelvinsmith6854 yep. he will always made far more of his income as a ghost writer, revising is what they called it at the time, then he made off of his Original Stories. in large part because of how precious he was about stuff that would actually have his name on it instead of the name of the person who hired him to be their revisionist
