There is one audio log in cold war that actually gave me chills. Its the one in Die Machine where Zykov can't figure out how to turn the machine off, which leads him to quickly build his courage and run into the anomaly shouting as a last ditch effort to turn off the machine. Just hearing him run away from the mic yelling and him basically charging into the unknown really set some good zombie vibes for me personally.

38:35 actually the Samantha Maxis story was born after the devs kept hearing question about some of the zombies grunts sounding like they were saying "SAM" when they'd swipe at you. That gave them the idea to introduce a character named Sam into the storyline and thus we got Samantha Maxis. This was confirmed in an interview with the devs.

28:55the thing I love about zombies is that wasn’t mentioned, that the they way how their moving in Shi No Numa is actually a Japanese fighting stance. It adds to the fact that these were once people(who probably still have their humanity and are losing it) that turned into the Zombies. And there movement is different for every map, like how Nazi Zombies some will walk like they are trying to march, or in Ascension Zombie would dodge your aim if you aimed too long. That’s the aspect I miss most in Zombies because it adds the their humanity that’s slowly decaying as the become more savage hungry creature

This may be a hot take that a lot of people can’t relate to but, the scariest version of zombies is actually Black Ops 1 zombies specifically on the Wii. They had to render the game differently than any other of the titles and consoles so the game was darker, the zombies AI was jankier so it was harder, and the shoot you had to hold the Wii-mote and Nunchucks like a gun. Nothing puts you in a more terrifying mood than that

I know WW2 zombies isnt all that popular in the community since its so different and I can definitely say it isn't at all one of the best zombies, personally it isn't that bad, the perk system if you can call it that is trash, and the mystery box is somehow less intriguing, if it was a whole game in its own, I don't have any doubt people would have different perspectives on it, WW2 itself isn't really all that already, but the zombies although horrible compared to a masterpiece like bo1-3 (and sometimes 4) was really great and I wouldn't mind having a similar game to it just less of the call of duty aspects like PAP or mystery box.
