Achilles, as you probably already know, was killed by Paris, a prince of Troy and the brother of Hector (the eldest prince of Troy); who was killed by Achilles in retribution for the death of Patroclus, his friend and possible lover.

To be honest, no, if you ask are there gay people? Yes. But everywhere even where gay people aren't so hidden as other places like ancient Greece (which doesn't mean that it was really very well regarded, it never was not even there) there are a lot more straight people than gay people everywhere, it's just logic and how things must be, if it weren't like that our entire race would decrease and get extinguished pretty quickly, also I don't understand the maniacal need and obsession nowadays of needing to bring the gay topic to everything everywhere and turning everything gay everywhere in everything even when the majority isn't, it just makes it seem abnormal and unnatural and as some weird unhealthy and even perverse obsession of people instead of something more normal

Odysseus is very hawt and he is also very traumatised by gods. That lil "I'm gay" from the soldiers cracked me up. The pain interspersed with moments of comedic levity with odysseus' snappy lil shit comments blends SO WELL tgt thank you for this ❤

I LOVE THE CHESS PIECES AND THE FLASHES TO EACH CHARACTER AS HE SAYS THEIR ROLE UGH!! The shaking effect on the men as they answer Odysseus and during battle adds a lot that wouldn't be there if it were just a still frame, the sparkle and hearts when he thinks of Penelope, the pose of him jumping before he yells "attack". THE FLASH OF RED AS HE BRINGS DOWN THE SWORD ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! The flashes of memory between Telemachus and Astyanax as well as their almost opposite colors of blue and yellow! Gosh you captured the soft emotions while he's looking at Astyanax SO well. He is so protective of this baby simply for being an innocent baby and he clutches him until he is given absolutely no other choice between sparing him or killing him, and then he goes to pick up the sword...

Honestly this animatic is one of my favorites for showing Hector's son as an adult. And Odysseus' expressions are amazing. I also love all the designs for the Greek Heroes and Zeus. One thing I've always found funny in all the animatics of this song is drawing Nestor as a young man instead of the ancient grandpa he was in the book 😂

I just come to comment that according to the Ilided and Greek mythology, say that Odysseus was not the one who killed the son of Hector, but the one who killed him was Pyrro the son of Achilles.

There's actually a lot of variations on who killed Astyanax, including one where he's killed by Neoptolemus (Pyrrhus), who then proceeds to use Astyanax's body to bludgeon King Priam to death. Greek mythology :)

Interesting tidbit, (and not a criticism as it has to do with the actual Iliad and the musical itself doesn't exactly explain it) but “Little Ajax" is actually a grown man, lol. It just refers to Ajax the Lesser, who received that moniker solely to distinguish him from Greater Ajax. Not sure why Jorge did him dirty by making it sound like he's a kid; which is, to be honest, one of my only gripes with Epic and is *very* minor so...
