I want to tell you how much I appreciate a lot of your builds. Some of your builds I would use and some I wouldn't. But the reason I appreciate them so much is because, you have a very unique perspective. Which is way more valuable and enjoyable to me. You think about things that I wouldn't have. You're giving me a new perspective on some races different races and classes. I'm really enjoying your creativity. Especially when you start adding three or four similar abilities. I'd recommend to take Githyanki instead. +1 extra misty step and triple jump range for your horse, you can also interact with objects using Mage's hand while you're mounted. This race is also extremely violent according to lore.

I'd like to mention that if you use Fizban's treasury of dragons, the Dragonnel is listed as a find greater stead option in the book, It has flyby, which could work even better with your double mounted haste. Really enjoyed the video!

So, as someone who is currently playing a centaur barbarian I have 3 little people on my back buff the ever loving crap out of me with Haste, long strider, and expeditious retreat. This lets me take 3 dash actions a round at 240ft a dash for 720ft of movement a round. We ended up making our DM crap himself with this when he made us defend a town against a bunch of Quicklings his plan was to have them perform hit and run tactics, and he did not expect us to chase them down and butcher then so easily. That's how we ended up in the fey wild, and my Centaur hates other fey with the rest of the party soon to agree with that sentiment. We are currently in the process of murdering our way threw the fey wild killing everything with a pulse except for this really cool Satyr, and the wild hunt which we are currently traveling with.

Hm, at first it made me look up "Find Greater Steed", so this question is for everyone in the comment section. Considering the following options for Greater Steed, which are the most stylish races for them to be paired up with: Griffon, Rhinoceros, Pegasus, Peryton, Dire-Wolf and Sabre-toothed Tiger (Tabaxi?). I could imagine a Goliath with a Rhinoceros being cool, but maybe even a Tortle instead.

Aasimar on the Pegasus doing midair mounts(escaping by the grace of the gods) or dismounts(I am the wrath of god). Bugbear on a Direwolf. A halfling on the Peryton, but like a mean one with a face tattoo. Everybody looks good on a Griffon.

Awesome build. Love your horseman set so far. Really digging your creativity and attention to detail. The only sad thing I could find with this build is when you get to have haste come online, you then have to choose between haste and enlarge/reduce. Bummer. If only your steed could concentrate on a spell for you lol. Good shit though. I’m excited for the last horseman.

I'd consider Metamagic Adept and/or taking 2 or 3 shadow or divine soul sorcerer levels [with 20 cha, your saving throw for strength of the grave will be 1d20+10+prof]. Quicken cast action spells like Enlarge, hold monster or Haste castings so that you're not wasting your attack action that round. Heightened spell would be great for your big guns as well. Also think that the 15th level feature [and 7th to a lesser degree] isn't necessarily wasted, though it does conflict with the skirmishing play style. But skirmishing itself conflicts with the paladin auras and utility as a meat shield. Would probably go with a regular d8 weapon or a polearm, the lance's 5' disadvantage and dismounted issues aren't worth it for +1 or 2 damage.

I really like the idea of combining both the mounted playstyle with the Greek Hero Bardadin. Get Greater Steed earlier and cast double Mirror Image on you and your Pegasus!

I had a Goliath College of Heroes Bard named Cupcake who was going for Greater Steed from magical secrets. I was planning on the rhino though. Flattening people with a fey inspired wooly rhino would have been great.

I’d recommend trying to fit in at least 2 levels of sorcerer. Then you can use flexible casting to always have the strongest smites.

this is a good one… personally i’d also consider a version with an elf and some hex blades levels even 1 level allows for eleven accuracy and a whip

You can do whip even without hexblade. Paladins get proficiency with all weapons, including whips. As for elven accuracy swithcing over to devotion (your devotion is violence) and you can use your channel divinity to ADD CHA, which is of course going to result in much higher to hit chance add some barbarian for reckless advantage. I like shadow elf for this as it adds some more invisibility or if you go high enough, Greater invisibility! Anyway VIOLENCE IS NEVER THE ANSWER, it's the question and the answer is always YES!!!🤬😈😈😈🤬

@@woutvanostaden1299 Elven Accuracy: .."Whenever you have advantage on an attack roll using Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma, you can reroll one of the dice once." Adding a mod from Cha to a STR roll leaves it a STR roll. Also the Barbarin reckless only affects STR based attacks. I am only interested in a discussion of RAW mechanics, nothing that can depends on DM ruling, RAW and irrefutable only please.

@@Gafizal1 "adding a mod from Cha to a STR roll leaves it a STR roll" Well thing is that the feat doesn't say that you can't use strength (or CON for that matter) just just that the attack roll has to use dex, int, wis or cha and it doesn't say that this can't be using 1 of those in addition to a different stat. I'll look up tomorrow which podcast it was again where they talked about this being the only RAW way to use elven accuracy with reckless attack. For as far as I can tell when looking at the facts side by side this should be RAW, I'm not sure which part necessarily would depend on DM ruling not to mention that there are plenty of DM that rule in bad faith and disguise it as RAW interpretation, also what would make it irrefutable? The better defined, clearer I can clarify the case.

Would the build at higher levels benefit from 3-6 levels of cavalier fighter for action surge, second wind and the cavalier abilities to help while mounted? Just a thought from someone who loves fighter.

with the amount of advantage attacks, I'd focus on charisma ASI's (for aura and spell and divinity DC's)and maybe resilient Con to maintain haste or enlarge. remember you can use reduce for dungeons, medium steed, small violence.

Just curious about the naming of this one, aren't the Four Horsemen War, Famine, Conquest and Death? Violence seems like an arbitrary title that could cover both War and Conquest

I actually built two Violence or War riders. One was a barbarian centaur rushing and raging into the battlefield. And the second was a true disciple of war. He was a battlemaster fighter, and a tactician who would command others and fight with brutal precision akin to the Spartans. But this build is so unique! I love it.
