I imagine Doddy could load up a tour bus full of people and just follow him around while he geeks everyone out. The whole crowd would just clap and in unison say WOW as he explains everything.

The multiple seat stay bridges to tune the amount of flex is brilliant! I want so badly to combine all the best ideas from leading edge frame developers under one roof, one brand, one frame. Do away with sizes all together and make each frames geo according to the customers physical measurements, with carbon tubing (like Atherton Bikes) and joints that are CNC'd in two pieces then bonded together (like Pole). An in house strut running from the rear triangle into the top tube supplying a larger positive chamber, larger negative chamber, more room for lubrication and an incredibly wide range of tunability as far as support in the pedaling/pumping platform and bottom out resist (like Digit). Flip chips in the rear thru axle and super wide zs56/zs56 head tube with multiple chain stay/rear center length positions to choose from, and multiple reach/front center length positions allowing for loads of wheelbase options, not to mention angle sets for multiple head tube angle positions. (Like Geometron) Provide several different volume spacers for the suspension strut to have a wide range of rear travel options. Include an interchangeable spherical eyelet where the rear triangle meets the strut that allows for mixed wheel sizes without messing with frame geo. (Like the one Cascade Components makes) And now finally provide 3 different seat stay bridges to tune the amount of flex . . .Doddy you got friends in high places in the cycling industry . . . . Wanna launch a kick starter company that makes ONE product? The Alpha&Omega Über Frame? Perhaps your connections to big players with keen foresight and deep pockets/unique resources could invest in our brand? . . . OKAY YES THERE CAN BE AN OPTION FOR GUIDED INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING AND EXTERIOR ROUTING! Now are you in?!?!

Interesting trivia: the term "Bib Shorts" that we wear as cyclists, comes from the Michelin Man "Bibendum" or Bib for short, because the tight lycra makes the riders fat bulge out and look just like the mascot! Fun!
@paulwilson2356 Жыл бұрын
Haha, nice story but untrue :) Bib shorts are called so because they strap around the top of your shoulder like a.....bib! If anything, they reduce the bulge and help give a more slimming profile, as non-bibbed cycling shorts with an elasticated waist really do make the stomach bulge

@mtbboy1993 Жыл бұрын
In Norway it was sold as Diamant Black Diamond(not the German brand owned by Trek, but the Norwegian brand) , but saddle had Rock machine branding at Gsport (went bankrupt, now Intersport) but Birk Sport sells Rock Machine, a short while they sold the hardtails under their own brand Birk, but also sold Superior Bikes as Birk. Both had custom branding paint jobs. But i see they no longer do that, but sell it as Rock Machine and Superior. I don't know if this was done elsewhere.
@OndrejFialaEnduro Жыл бұрын
@@mtbboy1993 i guess they are more popular than I knew! 😂 But still, It’s a pretty small czech brand compared to other bike brands

If the controller is bumped and the chain not ran forward to shift the AXS will try to shift and drain the battery…..happens to me because my bikes get moved around by my 15 year old son. Just check for the green light before a ride. Also remember to carry an extra battery for the controller.

Odd how companies design the most direct engagement systems for hubs then add the Ochain device to add slip so suspension works better. Is this counterproductive?
@james-hb5tu Жыл бұрын
I don't get people that still dislike internal cable routing, I get that it might not have been perfect when introduced. But now with decent bikes the frame has channels through it that allows you to just push the cable in and it comes out where it is supposed to. Now you do not have deal with having to put 10 different zip ties on your frame and have your cables rubbing and taking off the paint. There is now way that there is a significant time saving when changing housing out, which lets be honest for the average rider may happen every few years.

Most manufacturers stay away from high-end kids' bikes because most parents aren't stupid with their money. Spending thousands on a bike for a season to season and a half, depending on kids' growth, to end up selling it for a major loss. The sales and numbers are not there for most manufacturers to justify full speced full suspension kids' bikes.
