South Indian food especially from Kerala is so different from N.Indian cuisine & everything is coconut based. Glad you're taking a shot at it. Just watch out for sharp bones in some of the fish. Avoid swallowing, always chew when in doubt . In the West every fish is a filet but rarely in India so concerns me when you guys try fish.

Chad and Joy 💕 I am so happy you visited my home state Kerala. I really wanted to see your experience when you ate Kerala food because I knew it's a lot spicy as compared to other parts of India and their cuisine except for North East. I actually thought that Joy would be able to handle the red fish curry - kudampulli fish curry spice. It's heavy with its use of red chili powder plus you guys went to toddy shop and these shops are known to have spicier food than your regular Kerala restaurant food. My all time favourite is pearl spot pwolichathu, crab roast and duck roast. Waiting for you whole India videos. Hope you get enough subscribers with these videos. 💕💕💕💕

@@Sunaina2024 What part are you from? Nagaland and Mizoram produces Ghost pepper right? Yes I am a total foodie. Also I feel there's similarity in ingredients from Thailand because even Thai dishes I have seen fermented soyabean and bamboo shoots used a lot. Plus north east has a wide variety of herbs that's used which isn't found in other states. Thallasherry Biryani is good but I like all the fish 🐠 here in Kerala. It's very fresh 🙂. I wish we could meet and talk and everything. Bangalore there are some authentic Kerala restaurants. I am glad you have got authentic food.

Most westerners get confused with word SPICY printed in the Menu. There are over 100 "Spices" used in Kerala cooking most of them locally produced.BUT there are " HOT SPICES" and " AROMATIC SPICES" EVEN HOT CURRIES WILL HAVE AROMATIC SPICES( not only in sweets or confectionaries). So even the permutations and combinations and their treatment like roasting or wet grinding etc makes lot of difference in the final taste and flavor.

We didn’t. Neither one of us drinks, so we don’t normally visit vineyards. Is Kerala known for them?

Wow. i was born in kerala, grew up in dallas since 1996, currently live in richardson. I loved your food videos from kerala. I got really hungry just watching them. Where do you live in dallas? Please try the friday evening buffet at spicy zest restaurant in farmers branch. sri lankan cuisine brought me so much memories from kerala food.

Toddy shop food is designed to set you on fire. You feel the heat and you want to drink the toddy to quench it. Hence more sales. Trust me it is way too spicy even for most locals.
