Halleluiah! I am 100% onboard with, "if you know you know" trends. I am so over loud monograms/logos. All the winter runways were logo free, clean, minimal and shapely. Brown/earth tones were popular for winter 23/24.

Totally agree, about Ferragamo... they have been quietly amazing for years, with their boots & shoes- it's nice to see them have a moment! Also- THANK YOU for saying what you did about opaque or patterned tights with open-toe sandals; I have always thought that was a really cute look, but for ages, we've all heard that it was a big no-no. It's nice to hear someone with some fashion authority, giving the look a chance! 😄

I’m in my 50’s and my take on current fashion trends is that it feels like the trends are cycling through so fast that there are no real trends. So the inconspicuous fashion trend is a good one. Classic pieces, neutral tones and investment pieces never go out of style. And I never got rid of my boot cut denim. I’m short and curvy and it is the only denim cut that works for me.

YES! I’ve noticed this as well! By the time you decide to try out a trend, it’s over lol they are really cycling through within a few months now. I never remember it going that fast before! It feels like the last few time periods haven’t had their own specific style as we had with the 70s, 80s and 90s…it’s just been a mish mosh of all the decades prior and if someone saw the outfits you wouldn’t be able to pin it down to a specific time period at all.

so glad to see you!!! I love wearing streamlined classic silhouettes in timeless shapes made from higher quality fabrics where my figure and accessories (belts jewelry bags etc) can tell the story. I love that we can cherry pick from the buffet of trends!! While I find it insane how fast the fashions are cycling I’m glad I can stop paying attention and just enjoy my style since it’ll probably be “in”Again in a couple months! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️People who are sure of their style though tend not to care too Much and just enjoy fashion a bit more confidently or dress in deference and honor of their culture , values, physical necessity , their lifestyle , the occasion, for a job or simply for their own happiness!

I prefer my straight cut jeans. I bought a pair of bootcut jeans that are very flattering on my body type but the pair just reminds me of high school. I’m in my forties and don’t want o revisit the 90s!

Monogrammed pieces are an easy way to get people to buy things as status symbols and also get free advertising for the brand. It's so not my style, I think it's tacky. It might be a different story if brands at least got creative and artistic with their monograms, but they're looking for the recognizability.
