I understand game balancing and stuff but they really under powered the 9.3 here. It's still legal in some African countries to hunt the big 5 and yet it has a hard time taking out red deer and boars in game
@WayStedYou7 ай бұрын
yeah its bizarre seeing the 9.3 underperform the 6.5 creed, it should be wiping the floor with it in the close range much larger surface area and 2x the weight projectiles at similar velocities.
@bford985417 ай бұрын
9.3 is basically a .375. The .375 H&H magnum is called the queen of Africa for how effective it is for all the big game but still good choice for plans game

@@bford98541 I know. I recently bought a husqvarna m98 in 9.3x62. I've heard it referred to as the poor man's dangerous game cartridge
@randomidiot81427 ай бұрын
Hate to say it but bullets matter more than headstamps. Higher velocity > more mass. You've also got x57, x62, and x64 to differentiate between. Big 5 bullets don't make good plains game killers.

yea its the same for cotw with me. the .223 AR just feels so underwhelming. should EASILY double lung whitetail all day rather than barely penetrating a singular lung.

Been trying to figure out how to make this comment make sense for the last few videos of yours, and I think I finally got it. Simply put, I've been a fan of hunting games (currently excluding Way of the Hunter, though I don't quite know what about it just doesn't sit right in my brain since it genuinely looks like a great game), and watching your videos has gotten me back into playing theHunter Classic. Recently passed the 100+ hour playtime mark, and I have you to thank for that. Thanks for the awesome content, and I look forward to the next video!

"good" to see you have the graphic glitch as well, with the floating tree tops.

I’m assuming based on energy that the red deer you shot with the 300, was a pass through then hit that stag.

Bro in the last 2 days i have gotten 10, 5 stars on materiki park, and some of them are rare 5 stars to. like 2, 5 star goats, a 5 star boar, and a 5 star chami, also some 5 star red deer, geese, fallow, and tahr, all 5 stars
@vetlenordb27237 ай бұрын
you hit the boar behind the 5 star with the pass trough. you can kill 2 animals if you line them up wtih the 338

I hope they rework and improve the animal movements in this game. Currently some of their animations seem a bit robotic and unnatural.

I gave up on this game after few days, shooting and graphics are great but animals are scarce. Too much walking and miles of empty space.
@Flintergaming7 ай бұрын
The zones are a blessing and a curse. Take the time to find them, and especially good ones - you’ll have no struggle finding animals. But then you ignore 95% of the map as exploration is disincentivized because you can focus in on those spots. It’s the games biggest flaw imo
@paulkowalik96047 ай бұрын
First thing I do in all games is discovering the map, this one is still boring.

@@Flintergaming I got the DLC maps and weapons and I am finding way more animals than before. This game is becoming fun to play.

Now that it’s been out for a while, I know the channel is mainly built around COTW. But do you like this game any more or less? Debating on buying. Anybody have any preference
@vertfreak097 ай бұрын
I bought it before(?) release and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I would love to be able to devote the time to truly manage my herds effectively. Its just one of those games where I can listen to a podcast or music and hope to get lucky. Honestly if I could play games anywhere close to 8 hours per week I would have a stacked lodge. Such a good game.
@IIKraftI3 ай бұрын
Imo it is far superior to CotW simply for the more realistic approach to hunting with herd gene management and licensed gear. You actually have to let animals grow, instead of gunning down everything on sight like it CotW
