I'M sure you guys know who Tommy Baker is, when I was 15 or 16 years old I used to sit behind him when he was practicing way before he had the wrist injury in the late 70's he had a strike ball the way you through now, he won like 12 times on the reg tour with the bad wrist, he would have went down as one of the best ever if not for that broken wrist! I know he is too proud to stick that in anyones face, so I will do it for him! way to go tommy b and you guys also. from tommy dimartino
@bullwinkle4284 жыл бұрын
And he's still a fantastic bowler today, in his 60s. Definitely has what you would call a "spinner" release, as the result of the wrist issues. I grew up in the same area where he's from (Buffalo, NY), so I've been a fan of his for decades.

@chucky1119p4 жыл бұрын
I know, right? Been watching him and trying to work that smooth release into my game. Gonna take a lot of practice. Brad and Kyle also look pretty good, too. I'd take bowling like either one of those guys
@brianmccauley77114 жыл бұрын
Gotta drop a note for Kyle (in hopes of helping him deal with his hip issue). As a lifelong fan of the game and "hippie" myself, I believe he can really take his game to another level by taking 2 major steps ASAP (no later than this next off-season). 1) Get the hip fixed. Being young in years with decent core strength, recovery from the latest hip replacement procedures can be achieved in about a month. If your insurance allows, I would personally recommend Dr Tania Ferguson (Nashville, TN) who fixed mine here in Sacramento back in 2013. www.taniaferguson.com/ But whomever you choose, be sure to check 'em out as best as you can to make sure they've done "lots" of hip surgeries. 2) Modify the bottom end of your swing. The weakness in your hip has caused your muscle memory to overcompensate some in this area. As a result your muscle groups have learned to work in concert to put extra torque on each shot at that point... which can adversely affect consistency. Fortunately, I just happen to know of a great bowling Coach who can really help with this. He is a former PBA player who also bowled collegiality (Nebraska) and remains an accredited teacher... and has helped numerous players fine tune their games over the years. I'm speaking of none other than Mike Shady (Erie, PA). I'd encourage you to maybe shoot him a line via his Peak Performance Facebook site to see what he may be able to do for you: facebook.com/MSPPBowling/

@2AChef-n-BBQ4 жыл бұрын
Contact your Region director and ask about bowling as a non member. There are openings at select regionals for non members to get in. Many guys earn their cards this way. Unless you have rich parents and friends, sponsorship only comes after you prove yourself in regionals as a winner and regular cashing player..... there are no gifts for "potential".... You will get a little equipment help to start and it grows as you become a better player

Bradley Walker it’s all about efficiency in motion. Limit energy so you can bowl a lot of games without running out of gas so you can continue to throw it the same

Depends on the pattern, but yeah it's about shot making 🤷♂️
@treycripe34124 жыл бұрын
E Gibs pretty much every pattern. If you have to force it normally that’s not the move
@egibs35654 жыл бұрын
@@treycripe3412 depends on what a person's definition of throwing it hard is I guess. A lot of guys stay around 17-18mph playing inside which is throwing it hard for some people
