It sounds exhausting to do a division *every single time* a vote is called and to never do it with more 21st century measures... But when they wanted to abandon the similar - but more rarely used - "Hammelsprung" in Germany, the MPs were opposed, because it such fun to do...

Does the house of commons chamber have any loudspeaker inside? Because the debates are realy heated and everyone in the chamber needs to hear the exchanges. But one thing is that the hanging microphones are not close to the MPs mouth.
