The House of Oud Cypress Shade Fragrance / Cologne Review

Also, I want to give you my opinion of dates delight: It's a dark woodsy honey based fragrance. People compare it to Ambre Narguile, but Ambre Narguile has much more cinnamon and doesn't feel as heavy, it feels wearable in the summer. The opening of dates delight is very delicious with lots of honey, dark wood undertones and vanilla. In the drydown most of the sweetness fades away though and it turns into a woody scent with some oud, almost a little bit salty. Overall a very heavy and intense scent, strong performance. If that sounds good, blind buy it lol.

U so right! This smells excellent. I got a discovery set from thoo and instantly fell in love with cypress shade! What about pop is another impeccable scent; its a smooth gourmand. It smells rich and buttery, like kettle popcorn, it's slightly salty, but not overwhelming. I love it. Thoo makes great stuff! Thx for the review!

Great review...Steve !! I sampled Cypress Shade a couple months ago and loved it . Unfortunately, the performance wasn't too good. I think you should try Profumum Roma Ichnusa . It smells very ...very ..very similar to Cypress Shade but kills it in performance. Keep up the excellent work..bro.

If you are like me and love sweet stuff and especially marzipan and almonds, definitely try Almond Harmony from this house. Gourmand almonds through and through until the end. Very delicious.

House of Oud bottles make me crazed with the desire to own them all. They're just so beautiful. I first encountered this house right in the middle of declaring how insane I thought it was to buy a fragrance just because you like the bottle. Me: I can't understand why anyone would do that. I would never buy a fragrance just because of the bot... (spots a House of Oud bottle) Me: Uuuuurrrghhahhghghuuuuuhghghhrrhghgh... (makes pained choking noises for next 30 seconds) They're pricy, so I still wouldn't blind buy one just for the bottle, but I did get samples of the entire line, and there are some real stunners in there. I will own one of them someday, I swear!

I tried the mimosa scent by Atelier Cologne and I really love the note. I thought this would be a fresh and sharp one but it seems to be going in another direction according to your description. Gotta try this one out. I love creamy scents😏

Man you seem very impressed by this perfume I had to put it on my watch list, too bad where I live we don't have many perfumes to choose from and check out. Can you by any chance review the new Van Cleef & Arpels Reve De Cashmere and Ermenegildo Zegna Indonesian Oud? These are some of the few perfumes that we do have here and I want to know your opinion. So many ouds smell so similar its hard to distinguish..say new york oud from montale black oud except MBO is a tad more in ya face..the only one that i can say is way different is laurent mazzones black oud..it really is DARK DARK HOSTEL , Beautifully cryptic.. when i wear it i get the sense that i've commited a scandel..lol

I know it's an old comment BUT , if you choose to blind buy a perfume and you don't like it it's just your fault. He could have sponsored this fragrance but it could also be that he genuinely liked it. I love this perfume, for instance. This is how perfumes works, it's a personal thing. There is no such thing as the best perfume or a perfume that everybody love. Take your responsibility and never trust what other says about a perfume, no matter how many people says "oh buy this, this is amazing " etc...because it could be that you don't like it. So, always try a perfume and than make your decision. That's the only way to not waste money. As I said I live this o Perfume but of course there are other people who hate it, like you, and that's true for all the perfumes in the market.
