Hi guys, Good luck taking your skills/pod onwards, and as a big fan of the show, I will be sad to part ways. I have no idea about Substack, etc, not my thing, tbh and as a part-time carer, I am not able to add to my outgoings anyway, so I will stick with KZbin & my other regular pods. Just want to clarify- people will be able to subscribe to the 1st tier for free and receive the Tuesday-recorded show Ad-free and the Yorkshire Whistler column. Also, the Tuesday-recorded show will continue to be posted to KZbin and via normal podcast apps as they have been (with ads).

What's a substack? I left twitter when Musk bought it. Are you leaving it now too? As a lifelong supporter, now 74, first lifted over the turnstile when I was 8 or 9, your analysis have been a revelation to me. Great idea to do the 67 final. If you're ever struggling for content it would be great to see the complete road to each final and how wonderful those Celtic greats were. Thank you for all that you do. HH

RSS feeds are generally universal across platforms - I am not familiar with Amazon Music specifically but happy to assist when the time comes. It is usually as simple as finding the RSS menu option then cutting and pasting the 'address' that Substack provides.

I did some digging and looks like we will have to submit a request to Amazon to get the RSS into their system - they don't appear to support it via the app. I'll submit it Monday ASAP and they claim a 24 hour turn around so hopefully be sorted in time to Wednesday podcast release, but will keep you posted.

It's completely fair & accurate to say I was genuinely shocked when I saw £120 as the annual fee for Tier Three subscription & I most sincerely wish you every success with that, but just maybe you might have overpriced it in the context of & as dear old Alan always likes to rightly remind us ''context is everything'' & so in the context of when it comes to every day folks & their ever shrinking monthly disposable income & no matter where they are in the world, £120 is only yet another ''thing'' they can very easily do without & last but not least, I know historically The Huddle Breakdown did very few & very random, Live Streams & they've now been completely abandoned & why is that exactly?

Hello Frank - tier 3 is intended as purely an option for those interested and able to support the platform at a higher financial level. The 2nd tier is £60 at annual subscription level and will include all written/audio/video content. As to live streaming, we had to abandon them due to technical issues we encountered with audio and video dropping out and making the production quality an unacceptable level. We expect to revisit doing some of them in the coming months as legacy subscriptions to production software (not cheap!) lapse.

@@jucojames Thank you for your prompt response & your explanations of the functions & differences between a Tier Three & a Tier Two subscription, which I already perfectly understood & so obviously did not properly address my original comments about my ''genuine shock'' at your charge of £120 & £60 respectively & would I have been as anything like shocked if the fees being asked were in the region of £55 & £25, probably not & far more would be likely to subscribe too & as for Live Streams, a football podcast that doesn't do ANY Live Streams for whatever reason(s), is like someone saying they love the sea but never ever to go out on it in any shape or form....

More than happy to pay whatever Alan and James say. Sign me up please. Even £120 a year for tier 3 is peanuts for what you get. £2.50 a week? Come on. No brainer. I bet half the folk moaning about the price spend that on their weekly Daily Record expenditure.

Hello Stephen - we render no judgment on peoples' willingness, or more importantly, ability to pay - which is why we were absolute on keeping the legacy content free. Certainly hope to offer a compelling value proposition for those able to include us in their discretionary budget, but also recognize that finances are tight for many given the inflationary period. 🙏

Fair enough Chris -we are all drowning in media content subscriptions! The legacy Tuesday-recorded show will remain available on KZbin and via podcast apps. You can sign up for tier 1 for free to get that Ad-free and Alan's Yorkshire Whistler column via email.
