Unicorn was my first Gundam series, definitely not the best place to start but the incredible visuals and Sawano’s masterful score got me hooked. RE: I AM is still one of my favorite pieces of music, although to be honest I’m more of a Banshee fan myself. If they make one of those like this then I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

I got into gunpla before actually watching any, but IBO was the first series i watched completely, absolutely loved it. Watched Unicorn next and hated it. Well I mean, it was awesome, but I hated the main character so so much and the ending was just way too shonen cliche. But on the other hand the kshatriya fights were freakin amazing, and most of the other fights were also really good when stupid banager didnt ruin them

It would've been nicer if it has just as you said, USB charging and an app from which you can control the lights, sounds and transformation The transformation is nice but having buttons and AAA batteries for power source makes it feel old tech, like 1990s tech. Just my two cents

Disagree on the app part. The buttons are fine and having an app would guarantee at some point you couldn’t use this thing at all whenever it’d become unsupported/non-downloadable in the (somewhat far off) future

Honestly. The biggest thing here is that the V-fin is color accurate for once. Plus I love all of the warnings and maintenance decals on this. I've never been able to read them on other kits. That might just be me though.

For me its also the start of a Gundam series. When the Exia Gundam swoops down in ep 1 of 00 the way it moved made my heart swoon. It just floated down. I know motion like that is common in show but just the way the Exia moved it was both lighter then a feather and a massive robot of weight and power. What I'm saying is I'm trying to ignore how much I want this amazing item by thinking of Gundam beating up the laws of physics. Great vid!

When they showed this during the p bandai event, the v fin wouldn't close completely....and the camera was zoomed in on it. I feel like they should have used magnets in the v fin to keep it closed

Totally agree with the most epic scene you mentioned from end of EP1. When I saw it the first time, I got tears of joy in my eyes and seeing Unicorn transform in NT-D mode was just amazing! Unicorn is also my most favorite Gundam (which I have the HG, RG, MG and PG at home as well 🤣)

Well, the Odaiba Gundam is also perpetually stuck in a transformed state (with the exception of a few moving parts, most notably the head, shoulders, and front skirting armour) so I'm not gonna complain about the torso permanently being in NTD mode.
