Yes Bill died too early in his life,i truly believe they had plans to launch the original Hulk tv series again after the Death of the Incredible Hulk as reportedly there was to be an episode of the Hulk after the "Death" episode where the Hulk had Banner's mind and he was to actually speak!!

When ever David Banner gets hurt in the first half of the show, which causes him to Hulk out, we all know that usually the second Hulk out ends up healing his injuries.

Healing factor definitely much slower in this show than in the comics. I saw Hulk get fried almost to his bones, and a few seconds later was fully healed....and butt naked. But this show was such fun to watch.

I remember watching these episodes when they originally hit the airwaves and I'm still watching this Great show to this day!! Bill Bixby, Lou Ferrigno and one of my favorites Jack Colvin!! In the beginning I thought Jack McGee was a JackAss but now think he's a Great Actor and A Great Character!!

David banner and the hulk together helped and changed so many lives as David drifted from town to town. I always wished David could have come to terms and been okay with being the hulk. The hulk saved his life so many times yet he was always looking for a cure. Being the hulk, in reality, was a blessing. If David was ever injured, then later turned into the hulk, his body would heal up faster when he metamorphosized back. There were definitely some positives, for David, by being the hulk

This Hulk had amazing healing abilities. Banner becomes blind in this episode, only to be cured after Hulking out. In another episode he becomes quadriplegic and gets cured as well. And gets a deadly poison twice in two different episodes , only to resist it after turning into the Hulk..

I always wished some of the Hulk-outs would last longer, but I understand how difficult it was for them with the makeup and everything. Like in this clip, why does he run away so soon? It would have been interesting if his scenes lasted longer, at least sometimes.

It was largely a budget issue. The Hulk, at the time, was the most expensive show on television. The cost is one of the reasons CBS cancelled it abruptly

One of the many spectacular episodes of the Hulk, David encountered many astounding adventures in his life with the Hulk and him being blind in this episode showed every bit of that! Great demonstration of the Hulk's strength as the Sargeant tried to clamp the Hulk with that construction vehicle and the Hulk stopping it and pushing it back on the ground. The Incredible Hulk the greatest tv show that ever hit the air waves!!!!

It's actually from Season Three? That was the one season I mostly skipped when re-watching the series. Most episodes from that season - they relied on David getting involved with gangsters and/or the black market. The good news was, all other ideas were stockpiled and fine-tuned until we went to Season Four, and it had some of the most ingenuous, well-played concepts in the entire series. Your Hulk experience in incomplete until you check out that season. I am not kidding.

Banner turns into Hulk during big anger, but what about other emotions? Like extreme sadness? Or maybe extreme laughter? Good thing David didn't watch ALF, or he would have laughed himself into the Hulk! But at least in Alf-context, people would have assumed the Hulk is an alien, so at least David's identity wouldn't be risked!

This is also some of the first episodes where the Hulk's voice was replaced by Charles Napier. at the end of the 2nd season Ted Cassidy died from complications from open heart surgery.

Yeah it's a shame, the Season One growls of the Hulk were the best. In fact, the Season One Hulk was the best full stop. You can tell part way into Season Two, they were trying to reach a younger audience, so they made Hulk look a little less intimidating and slightly more "friendly" in appearance. I wasn't really fan of that to be honest, even as a kid. The pilot Episode when he just breaks out the hyperbaric chamber was the best look and sound of the Hulk for me, for the entire series. They later sort of recaptured that menacing look in the Trial and the Death films.

@@Longlostpuss As a kid I liked when they changed the voice and toned down the makeup. It made him look more heroic. Like the Professor Hulk (in the COMIC BOOK not that garbage in the MCU movies) But I realized over the years that was a mistake. The Hulk is a MONSTER. And in this day and age it's COOL to be a monster or antihero with some morality but very minimal. You're right the Pilot episode was the best version of the Hulk in the series. He's was frightening but also fascinating. The make up, growl, and this was also Lou Ferrigno in his best shape. He was really JACKED.

I never knew that. Regardless, I think they both did a fine job as the Hulk’s voice. What’s interesting to note is even though Lou Ferrigno never used his actual voice for the Hulk during the time he played the character in the tv show, when it came time to reintroduce the Hulk in the first Avengers movie, Marvel Studios wanted Lou Ferrigno for the Hulk’s voice and all of the remaining Hulk voice over work in all the sequels. Lou Ferrigno also did the Hulks voice in the amazing 1996 Incredible Hulk cartoon show which was a very adult themed series that aired on Fox during there Saturday morning cartoon block.

For me, it would have been more impressive if the Hulk picked up the canister and got so mad at it that he crushed it between his hands. The tank would groan and buckled in the Hulk's strong grip until it burst. I know this would have been a much harder special effect but would have been so impressive.

In that time I.e 70s they couldn't pass the test audience as the visual effects of then well let's just say apart from camera tricks and costumes it wasn't much hence they were unable to do all they wanted the show was brought at one point and they requested that banner only Hulk out once per a show , buy the test audience like it kept to x2 hulk outs per a show 😉
