When they made the original movie with Bill Bixby his character believed his monster could be a killer, and he said so to his lady coworker. She told him No, the monster won't kill because David doesn't kill. To which he said I don't know that. It's why he wanted a cure. I do understand why you wonder why he'd want a cure. Hulk could probably live forever so David thwarts every death except in the fourth movie Death Of The Incredible Hulk

This car accident led to one of the most intertaining and explosive adventures of the Hulk on the show. This is a great episode but Promethius was very good. David Banner/Hulk gets exposed to the gamma radiation only to be able to transform back half way. The government captures the Hulk thinking he's an alien 👽 and almost hold him but admit he nearly busted out. Hulk gets stronger with more anger!! Love this original TV series. Better than the movie CGI stuff
