This has been an interest of mine since I watched " The World at War " episodes - one had a British Military Intelligence officer claiming that he had seen Borman walking up a ramp onto a Ship bound for South America. When he informed his Superiors no one believed him and the ship set sail. These episodes have been the best compilation of the evidence that Borman didn't die in 1945 in Berlin. I am waiting in anticipation for the last episode.

If I remember correctly the skull was located just as Ladislas Farago was about to publish a book with help from Argentine Military Intelligence officers detailing the work that Juan Peron had done to help Bormann in his escape to Argentina. The ruling military junta had thrown in the towel and were allowing Peron to return from exile and run for President of Argentina. The military intelligence officers were trying to remind voters of Peron's Nazi ties. When Bormann's skull was discovered just as Farago's book was about to come out it was completely discredited and Peron went on to be elected. I think that the motive for relocating Bormann's remains from Paraguay to Berlin was to prevent Peron's return to power from being derailed. If so, the deception was successful. It may not even have been Nazis who removed it, but Peron supporters.
@nautifella Жыл бұрын
They could, indeed, be both. Nazis had a vested interest in returning Peron to power.

After watching this, did a search and found a BBC artitcle about Bormann's remains having been identified along with a picture of his skull which looks like the Stumpfegger skull in Mark's video with the big missing chunk. Mark did say the skulls were often mixed up!
@martinbormann692 жыл бұрын
The media both print and on tv always show the wrong skull. They always show Stumpfeggers. This story is total crap. DNA was taken proven to be Bormann's by the samples taken from the Bormann surviving children. The body was shown to be of a 45 year old man -- Bormann was born in 1900 -- he was 45 in 1945. So unless he found the fountain of youth he never went anywhere near South America. And how did "they" keep Stumpfeggers body on ice to rebury it later with Bormann's after his death later on. Total nonsense. Felton also makes a ton of mistakes in his videos. He really isn't an expert -- he is laughed at by the real research community of which I belong.

I became interested in the Bormann story when I visited San Ignacio, Argentina with my then girlfriend who was from the area. Locals there claimed Bormann and other nazis hade stayed in a safe house in the area located on the river Paraná, which borders between Paraguay and Argentina. We hiked to the ruins of the two houses and they certainly looked to be from the early 1900s. We talked to a park ranger there who said that it was the native population that lived in the park that had some contact with them. I was actually very skeptical at first since I believed the story of him being buried in Berlin, but this changes things. There might have been some truth to it then. These ruins were also featured in the documentary which I believe was aired on discovery, Hunting Hitler.

Probably to protect others in South America who were still alive. If it was acknowledged that he was indeed alive in South America, then it focuses attention on what was going on in South America and who else was alive at the time. So it made sense to bury Bormann back in Berlin to make it look as though he had died in 1945
