The Hunter Beta far outranks the Hunter Gamma in terms of survivability. In effort to improve on the initial design of the Hunter Alphas, these creatures were cloned and further subjected to more genetic tampering. However in doing so, this left them with some pros and some cons. In this episode, we will discuss why this is and what is happening on a muscular level as well as neurological to make this so.

@@RoanokeGaming If you mean the Drain Deimos they don't really have remotely the same mandible structure. Those seem more a gaping hole / a single mandible set. Where as the Hunters have a segmented set of six plates covering the mouth. Crab DNA could of been an easy go to for getting the lopsided body structure as well as for fixing (or prepping to fix) these's creature's nerve structures. It's been hypothesized that substances from the shells of crustaceans (and substances from fungi) can be used to protect nerve cells from inflammatory stresses, like the stresses caused by the T-virus. It's only hypothetical and on the edge of accepted science, but Resident Evil has been pushing gene-modification as a real, present, and dangerous technology. Why wouldn't they reach the fringes of biological studies for potentially useful for solutions? P.S. Especially solutions that can be implemented in a subject in development and don't need to be applied after gestation.

Rather than insect, I'd say the other part of it's DNA lends itself to crustaceans. Not only based on the mandibles, but on the keratin like nature of the armour, and even geometrically shaped pieces on the back one would associate with the carapice of a crab. From a lore point of view it also wouldn't hurt to have a creature that cold molt to keep it's armour in good shape.

I liked the original Hunter Betas. They had a fascinating quirk. They recognized guns. When you pointed your weapon at them, they would jump back behind corners, taking cover. That amazed me as a kid. ...as well as frustrated me since I'd probably be using magnum rounds on them and they just dodged the shot. That's a remarkable level of intelligence in stark contrast to their typical near frenzied attack behavior. They seem to just want to kill EVERYTHING they see, unless it's another Hunter.

I know a lot of people didn't like Resident Evil 3 too much, but we all have to admit that the monsters in this game are pretty damn awesome. The hunters and second form of Nemesis in particular are pretty damn badass in my opinion.

Second form of nemesis looks like the alien movies, did you ever play the first one on ps1, he’s still bipedal and just grows more tentacles but is actually faster and more annoying then the first form. Secondly they game was like 5 fucking hours, and thirdly they cut out the clock tower the best part too me. Make it a dlc and everyone would have been happy, then they could have worked on the actual game and put out something great with the new graphics. That game stunk and now we probably won’t ever get an actual remake which also stinks, Capcom shit the bed on that one

I've never played the original so I probably enjoyed the remake more than most people, but I think the game was lacking and did not live up to its potential especially after how good the RE2R was. The game was pretty short and while I enjoyed Nemisis's designs over his three forms he was never as terrifying as Mr X because he only appeared in scripted sequences. I also thought that the game felt much more like an action game than a horror game like RE2R was. The action sequences with Nemesis chasing you were well made but they felt more like a Michael Bay movie than a terrifying monster stalking you through the city. A DLC would be awesome but I doubt Campcon would consider making it with RE8 on the horizon. All in all the game was far from terrible, but it was definitely disappointing.

Well it is a Remake not a Remaster. When Capcom say they are going to do a remake it means that they are definitely going to change a lot of stuff. It is completely normal to cut some areas and add new ones or to change the form of Nemesis. And about the scripted appears.. it is also normal. If Nemesis was like Mr.X and stalked you you would not be able to escape from him. These stalking levels worked in the original because of the door animations. Also the original RE3 was also pretty damn short and was also a little bit more action oriented so I am not surprised about the lenght and the theme. Honestly there are definitely better RE games but I actually enjoyed this one.

Преслав Маринов I beat it in 5 hours, the drain deimos was just a lazy way of introducing them, why do it at all if it’s only gonna be in the power station? They didn’t have the hunter alpha, why cut out the grave digger? Also rework or remake how can you cut out the first “escape” at the clock tower? I wouldn’t care if it was done right and it was actually good. This shit was rushed, under budget, and poorly executed. The whole idea of the first phase of nemesis the most deadly, is just cut scenes and chase scenes. He’s so insignificant too the story why would they even make him the focus of it. They fucking turned my nigga nemesis into the Alien. I have been waiting for 15 years too see the nemesis in modern form. His new design sucks, the game sucks and I’m just over this rushing too keep up with other companies

As aways another amazing video,the hunters are my favorite enemy in the RE franchise,i still remember shivering when i got into a hall in RE1 and the only thing i heard was silence being broken by that wierd foot-step sound,YIKES it gets me to this very day! By the way could you eventually take a peek at the Parasite Eve games (and if possible both movie and book)?It is my favorite franchise from back in the days and my top 1 science fictional franchise ever,would love to see you explaning stuff there since the games like to talk alot about the things going on in the lore (really,in the second game you can inspect pretty much everything like 4 times and the protagonist will have new things to say about it always)

It really comes down to lab based intelligent intervention, versus letting the virus/parasite run rampant on its own. Birkin and Nemmy came about because they got hurt and their virus/parasite reacted with further mutations to give them the edge in survival. Hunters can't do that because they were carefully designed by humans not to.

The reason Umbrella would limit the viability over time is to make them cheaper to deploy. The Hunters are tested for T-Virus deployment cleanup of the civilian infected. So by limiting their shelf life, they will become easier to eliminate later for Umbrella agents.

Two years late, but i am pretty sure that it's canon that Crimson Heads represent a transition phase from normal Zombies to Lickers (yes lickers are mutated zombies), so maybe the sustained damage was what accelerated the mutation due to the following cell multiplication to repair damage?

The hands of the Hunter Beta remind of the Peacekeeper from For Honor who utilizes a sword and dagger. The sword is used for defense and the dagger is used for offense. Now the Hunter Beta doesn’t fight like a Peacekeeper but when it lounges at you to stab you with it’s smaller hand it’s like using it as an offensive weapon and it only uses the bigger hand as an defensive weapon when it gets close to you.

There are tumors visible under plates on the body (look under torso plats and at the neck area) and the shelf life would be intended, after all, can't sell a BOW to someone twice unless the first one did the job to satisfaction and then fell apart.

I think the Company may have added some Crab DNA, the Left arm being larger, and the fact that the Mouth and the armor plates just over the hips look look like those of a Crab. if this is the case it would also mean the Hunters We see are all Male, as only the Male Crabs have the larger Claw for fighting rivals.
