Hopefully we will get a full lore explanation for the ancient civilization to the guilds founding, that time period is still pretty grey

Fun fact I believe(not confirm) that one of the first Elder Dragon slaind by the hunter/guild was a Lao, since the hunter did not want to back down and leave his village to be destroyed by the giant dragon

I've been playing Monster Hunter for almost a decade now and I've always really enjoyed the lore this series has! I really enjoyed this video, even learned a few things and ideas, keep up the good work with these videos!

Thanks haha I told you it was coming! This one took a little longer than usual since at first I was going to do all of the factions for this video (guild, research commission, wycademy, Royal scriveners, etc.) But it was taking way too long so im splitting them into multiple videos!

Yeah it was going to be a long video lol id rather give each faction a dedicated video than try to cram them all together because they have different goals and lore as well as my own take on how they act in the wider world

Thanks, and don't worry it will come in the future, it will be a long one too because fatalis has alot of key lore involving the world and ancient civilization as well as its unique mysteries, ill try to make it sooner than later for yah!

Found your channel recently and am enjoying your videos. These videos are very interesting and help new commers get enriched in the monster hunter universe. If I could suggest a video idea that I haven't seen done on other channels is one talking about the main character hunters that we play as from each game would be interesting like talking about their accomplishments and how their actions in those games had a impact in the monster hunter universe. What big threats did they stop from occurring that could of greatly impacted the world. Any lore about them that people might of missed. Discussing if they are the same hunter from the previous games or a new different hunter. What status of rank and prestige did they achieve in their hunting career and such. Did they become a legend in the hunting guild and in the monster hunter universe or were their actions lost in time? Specifically the most interesting hunter being the one from World aka the Sapphire Star hunter since they were the only one to ever canonically fight and slay fatalis. Like what made this hunter so special from others that they were able to do the impossible by themselves when a whole kingdom couldn't. Any ways keep up the good work and happy hunting.

1st off.... HYPE for the new Wilds trailers that'll be coming out in the coming days showing the new weapons. 2nd here's my head canon of guild rankings. Beginner: Pest/small monster control. Low rank: Low threat monsters Yian Kut-Ku level that threaten farms or are a nuisance to trade caravans. High rank: Mediocre threats Nargacuga/Zinogre. Those who threaten villages and trade caravans. Master rank: Red Alert threats Elders/Invaders. Those who can cause serious damage to the ecosystem or take on a city. Legendary hunters: Life ending threats Black dragons/High Elders. Those who can destroy city's or wipe out an ecosystem just by existing. Faitalis and Amatsu are the only kingdom destroyers I know of with Dire Miralis causing a zone in the ocean to go dead. I can get behind with the guild not being a charity and more of a business. It's like fire fighters and the military. We give thanks to the place and the people who work at it, but they also need an income so they can do their jobs and have better equipment for that job.

Yeah i left out the hunter ranks since I had them in the hunters video but I like that breakdown for them, and yeah it makes sense because the guild has to function and have resources to maintain their widespread operations so they have to take monetary profits into consideration alongside their overall goals

As with so much MH lore, its frustrating how much is unclear but fans pretty much have to use because it is all they have. Take the fascinating stuff you say about the Guild Knights, to my knowledge the only source for these ideas comes from implications in the descriptions of the Guild Knight armor set, and dialog from a undercover Guild Knight character from a couple of the early games, dialog that nobody seems to have screen grabs of, recorded, or written down word for word, making it seem rather unreliable if she even actually said these things.

yeah alot of the lore has be pieced together or made understandable using similar aspects from real biology or history but its still nonetheless very interesting

@@GuildMasterKaito it'd be nice if someone could at least confirm the in-game dialog about Guild Knights. I take it the scripts from the early games were never data mined? Supposedly this undercover Guild Knight warns you against poaching, and claims she has killed such hunters in the past, and that seems to be the sole source of the "Guild Knights execute rogue Hunters" idea, but nobody seems able to verify this character even says that.
