I found this story will make me think twice before judging ( I hope) …as we may see people doing bad actions …like tye hinters and consider them bad people but are unaware of their wholesome kamma …which in this case made them ripe for receiving Dhamma from the Buddha. However I find it odd that Sumitta cleaned the weapons etc for her husband as she obviously knew what he was using them for and she could have tried instead to discourage both him and his sons from killing animals. So I guess it also shows that my understanding is very basic and not to think I know when maybe I don’t.
