Really good points, Marco, about the player not having much agency -- which is a common complaint about The Hunters. In the context of something as massive as a World War, it's to be expected that one is a VERY small cog in a MASSIVE undertaking. I think The Hunters provides a solid balance between the few things a Kpt. can control, and the numerous things that can and do occur that are completely out of one's control..

Best played with Beer and Friends with a copy also. Go hunt together. We had a blast, but it has the same problem B-17 & RAF BoB does. You are being played by the game system. Hunters does a better job of giving you some more choices than say RAF Battle of Britain, but it still has that limiting factor. The key to its success is accessibility and narrative.
