As somebody who spends their life playing whistle let me say to anyone viewing this video this is unreal playing - tunes that probably aren't at all suited to flute but sounds effortless

Agreed. I'm still new to whistle but have years of backgrounds in all sorts of music and instruments and although I've picked it up relatively quickly, things like some of the fingering for jumping notes and ornaments in fast pieces are nothing to scoff at

I keep coming back to this outstanding performance. Pour moi la différence majeure, c'est la présence de strasthpey (comme ici le premier morceau du set) qui ne se trouve que dans le répertoire écossais. Sinon il y a aussi tout ce qui tourne autour de la cornemuse écossaise qui est très spécifique.

Hey Calum, what kind of mic are you using? I currently use a K&K Silver Bullet but I love the low profile, fixed, look of your microphone/ pickup

Hi TRAD, On the flute, it was a simple DPA microphone positioned close to the embouchure. On the guitar (Heikki), it was possibly a DPA also, but a different model specific to guitar. Hope that helps. Best wishes, Calum

Did they go to a morgue to fill those seats? I couldn't see any signs of life in the audience while they were playing. How do they get those dead people to clap and cheer afterwards?
