Canada sold less than 700 of them accross the country and I owned one. I'm very happy with it, very good city and short distance car. 🙂

I have one as well. Range is (maximum) 80-90 at summer. At winter it can be reduced by 30%. Please note that this is the maximum range (my car has). But usually I'm not happy going under 15 km. Range is really depends on your "driving style"/speed, outside temperature, and using/not using heating.

You better not sell it. It's rarity alone will make it super valuable in the future.

A local Mitsu dealership had one on sale for $23,000 cdn, about 5 years ago. I was seriously interested until I discovered the range. Factoring in our winter, I figured this wouldn't have much range at all during the cold months. As it turned out, that dealer couldn't give this car away, which is a real shame, because at this price point, if it had a higher capacity battery I would have purchased it. I hope Mitsu brings this back as it is the perfect EV for those of us seeking a cheap commuter.

Mitsubish launched the i-MiEV - the first mass-produced electric vehicle in the world in 2009. It was well before the Nissan Leaf. The battery management system on the i-MiEV is way better than the Leaf. That's why the Leaf of the same age battery is degraded and rubbish now. Plus the Leaf weights over 700 kgs more than the i-MiEV. EVs today are getting up to 3x heavier than an i-MiEV. How much energy do you need to push that around? And how much battery weight and cost? The i-MiEV weighs 1030kgs. So put the same kw battery in the i-MiEV and your range is more than 50% more than a Leaf. Loads more than the heavy EVs of today. The only one to come a bit close is the BMW i3. It is physics guys. Bigger the mass the greater energy you need to push it. Plus when the i-MiEV was made more than 75% of the cost was the battery. It still would be today if it wasn't for all the expensive gadgets in new EVs you don't need just waiting to breakdown and be a pain to own. The i-MiEV is simple hense it's reliability even over a decade on. And because batteries are still so very expensive you can fit a 30kw battery into an i-MiEV, today a small battery and therefore cheaper, the range is more than double than what it was when new. This is the best city car you can buy today albeit used. Simple and reliable. EVs are by far the best city car. What do you need in a city car? Compact easy to park fit anywhere even between bollards. Light, good physics for moving a mass. They are still cute comfortable and don't look too much out of date. And are unique. Your not just one of the crowd in an i-MiEV. They are brilliant little machines.

not! in europe you have the same, the same frame, motor, battery etc in the peugeot ion, the citroen c zero! they're clones! when you drive one it's mesmerizing ride! i fell in love with mine! 100k is not much, but i ride 60 every day! and at current values it's 4times cheaper than my diesel! ou my gas motorcylce!

I would seriously consider buying one, if I was moving to say Hawaii or an Island in Alaska. Its a great little car if you don't need to travel far, like on an island, but I just doesn't realistically make sense anywhere else due to the range. Also I think they came out with it today charged 15k and advertised it more as "an enclosed scooter," rather than a car it would do far better.

After 12 years of ownership I will say. " it is a cheap, easy, fast little ugly thing that gets me to A-B. Easy parker and mingle to drive. I get everything and anything in this. Comfortable and no cracking noice from anything. Yes it isnt fancy, but look at the price. The woorrsstt nightmare is winter but after all that I would say 7/10. "Cheap" maintenance also
