@@michaelkonopka3281 it’s pretty rare to not have a windy day out there. I have a video from last year when it was blowing at about 60 mph all day long. Definitely set up the shelter that time! Thanks it was a great day.

Great video man! I hate when people try to tell me how to fish but i have a pointer that could help you out maybe save a big fish or two. With spinning reels only, (with baitcasts this doesnt apply). Anytime you reel and hear clicking, or anytime your fish is pulling drag, your line is twisting. If you only use braid and respool often, this wont make much of a difference. But if you use monofilament line especially, the twists in the line can generate wind-knots or weaken its integrity/tensile strength. The more times youve attempted to reel, without taking in line (making the drag click) the weaker your line is. And mono has 'memory' making it kink up like a hose and if you leave slack in the line itll tangle almost immediately. To avoid this, dont reel when the fish is taking line and hold your hand against the spool to add a little resistance to the drag when the fish runs. Especially useful when you are using a reel with a smaller maximum drag than the pound-rating of your fishing line. This will help tire him out quicker and keep your line stronger and you will have to re-spool less often. Great video, glad you made it out safe and tight lines brotha!

Hey thanks for the tip I do appreciate it. I saw the line linked up when dropping that pink jig but didn’t want to exclude the clip. I do usually try to pull the twists out before dropping again most of the time. When I tie a new jig on I usually cut off like ten feet of line too. Thanks again I appreciate any kind of feed back. Hope you have a great season!
