Yay! It's the Summers fam! I don't know why I love them so much but I always gravitate to this family whenever I play this hood :) I always make them different super naturals (I like using mods to make them other things besides only werewolves and vamps) and yeah, I let them keep their face makeup, but maybe that's only because I have default replacements that make them a little more bearable lol

Funny thing is I just played the start of this family last night! My big issue is the name of "Bottom". I changed it with a mod. What an awful name. But , they definitely have the party house. Yes! Please play the bin families. This neighborhood could be so much better with more story going on and you are just the person to do it!

Yeah, same here. Of all Shakespearean names, they chose this one? I ended up renaming her as Iris, from The Tempest. Plus, it also matches Puck's name, as in they both have 4 letters! I tried to stick to the original play this family is deviated from, but I couldn't find something I liked. Ah well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You know what I just really realized what's so wrong with the vibe of the Sims 4, compared to the Sims 2?...Maybe this was obvious, but all of these fun, relationship-status based, autonomous interactions between npcs in the background. And the idle animations for the different personality traits, like lazy Sims slouching or the outgoing Sims talking more animatedly. In the Sims 2, it feels like the Sims' personalities and actions exist outside of your influence. In the Sims 4, sims don't really act differently to eachother at all. It feels like they don't interact with eachother or do anything without you telling them to. It's dead, it's like a literal dollhouse where you pick them up and put them where they need to go. Just a massive bummer, I love this game. I wish EA would actually try :(

Sims 4 traits are a cool concept but they don’t affect the interactions as meaningfully as I’d expect. Though in fairness, it’s also been a while since I played sims 4, maybe the game’s improved since then

@@crazymarq4390 it definitely hasn't unfortunately. They keep adding systems, not *life*, if you know what I mean. They added likes and dislikes and a crappy attraction system but it's mostly shown through text boxes. The personality traits don't effect how the sims act, it just opens up different interaction options. I'm seeing in how you capture these stories, how much of a difference it makes just to have these npc interactions in the background, and simple animations to give the sims actual personalities. Even the super small stuff like how they sometimes clap their hands and look around while they're walking, it makes such a massive difference. They seem like people. They even think and talk about things relevant to their lives, it's so cool. Sims 4 sims seem like the same person, copy pasted with a different appearance and they are constantly doing things that don't make sense to their relationship, like getting in a fight and then talking casually the next minute. In the Sims 2, you can watch a fight escalate like slapping and throwing water and then they fight. They treat eachother how they should given they are pissed off lol Anyways, rant aside, sorry - I truly love your videos. They are so comforting. I feel like they capture my nostalgia for the game perfectly. It's how I used to play, building up stories based on their own lives and personalities. The editing and commentary is so funny. You can really tell how much love you have the characters. Its just really cool, so please keep doing what you're doing. ❤️

@@absolootlynot awh that’s a shame, I guess it’s easier to just drop a bunch of new “shiny” features than it is to add that raw charm to the game. You’d think the emotions would affect the gameplay greatly, especially since they were the main selling point. Sims 2 devs didn’t even push the emotions as hard, yet the Sims themselves feel more real imo. I love how their expressions are exaggerated without feeling too goofy or uncanny, it’s a perfect balance. Overall, I think sims 4 has some really decent concepts, but they’re not executed that well. And even the charm aside, Sims 2 is such a smooth experience, the gameplay is engaging and it all flows so perfectly, Sims 4 always seemed a bit sluggish and choppy in comparison. I don’t even dislike the game but it doesn’t grab me as much as the older titles do You’re all good, no worries, I enjoyed your comments and really appreciate the support :)

i dont like titania and pucks face paint, but im ok with oberon and tybalts because theyre masks. that said, as much as i love them, i have replacements that switch them with other styles of face decor and freckles, so i end up giving titania/puck face sparkles and oberon/tybalt glasses haha. desdemona ends up with a more alternative pop/gyaru makeup as well.

👏👏👏 Another fun video❣ I normally start off with the Summerdreams, and try to sneak that kiss indoors, while Mercutio is outdoors, but when I fail, I also work at repairing their relationship. I also have had Hermia autonomously kiss Mercutio, foiling my desired pairing (just find it weird when siblings are both dating their familial rivals). Although the sibling pairing should not seem odd, my grandparents consisted of 2 brothers marrying 2 sisters (and I almost dated my double second cousin, without knowing...oops). I also have the wedding at the party, to boost the party score. While they are the easiest family to manage (as they are the neutral family, surrounded by the feuding families). Btw, the Summerdream house is very glitched and poorly made. Perhaps, the just brought that with them on vacation? 🤷‍♀️🤭 When Hermia does autonomously go for Mercutio, I often pair Puck up with her cousin, they also have good chemistry. I find Veronaville fascinating, as there are just 3 families in the main hood. My favorite sim is Bianca, as her personality is closest to my own. I do love the idea of combining Shakespeare's work (Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night's Dream) to modern day❣
