This was by far the best recipe. The others called for evaporated milk, which doesn't really give it that complex flavor. Only thing I dissagree with is the amount of sugar lmaoo. 1/3 cup makes it taste amazing, but it felt like a ridiculously large amount of sugar. I went with 2 tablespoons of honey and 10 grams of sugar instead and I think it sits perfectly with the coffee flavor that way.

I have tried multiple times myself. While trying it out in Vietnam was perfect, making it myself leaves an egg scent. What am I doing wrong? In Vietnam, I didnt get any eggy smell but I am getting a hint of egg smell in mine.

You need to beat the egg yolk with sugar long enough the yolk turn white.

If you're refering to the Brown powder its cocoa, it's just for decoration. You can drink the coffee with or without it and it still tastes amazing

Eggs are perfectly safe to consume raw.

Risk of illness in egg yolk is very low so it's relatively safe to eat raw, but you can pasteurize it if you wish to be cautious

I whip the egg yokes in a double boiler if I'm using cheap eggs to be safe :) it's pretty good, taste like vanilla custard :3
