The University of Ibadan student leaders in this interview recounted what led to the closure of the institution and subsequent suspension of the union body.
On May 29, the union led a protest to demand better welfare of the students. In response to the protest, the Vice chancellor ordered the students to vacate the campus and postpone the semester examination to June 17.
Also, part of students' agitations was the failure of the university management to issue identity cards to the students for two academic sessions.
