Sage Shankara as follows: "Only so long as there is an identification (effected by the mind) of the real Self with the intellect is there an appearance of individuality and of conditioned existence for that Self. But in reality there is no such being as the individual soul, other than the spurious entity imagined by the intellect. In the study of the Vedanta we do not find (support for existence of) any conscious entity having an existence of its own, apart from the Supreme Being, who is ever-free and all-knowing; the sacred texts say: "There is no seer, hearer, thinker or knower apart from this Being'; 'There is none but He, that sees, hears, thinks or knows'; 'Thou art That'; 'I am the Reality'; these and hundreds of other texts are our authorities."

Twenty thumbs up if I could!You are the only one that clearly shows that the Bhddha NEVER said there is no soul/self. I have even been censored by "spiritual" people after asking for proof of this assumption and I'm talking about swamis.Btw, the Buddhas original name for this Way was Brahmayana, The Way to the Absolute!

I agree 100%. I was a Buddhist monk for 10 years and I've found it frustrating the mental gymnastics people go through to try to make the Buddha's teachings atheistic. It's only in the context of the Self that the Buddha's teachings make any sense. There's a passage in the Pali Cannon where the Buddha literally calls enlightenment "become Brahman".

Samadhi, according to Sri Ramana Maharshi, is not a state to attain but your true nature, always present. It is a complete union with the true self, where all thoughts and pains dissipate, leaving only endless peace. Samadhi is not far away, but the present when you let go of your little self and see your true self clearly. 👉 Have you ever felt a deep stillness without a reason?

Ego is individual separateness and root of ignorance. All Karma and results belong to ego only. Ego is mere imagination or first thought conditioned in time space domain. 🙏

The non-objectively-existing Ego spontaneously arises. There is no need to delete an ego that is not objectively existing. The capacity to come to terms with illusion inspires endless delusion. Nothing relies on anyone’s ability to do anything.
