Even though I watch all of agad's vids with great pleasure, I almost never comment, but this game ... this one had me cleaning my jaw of the floor. That double piece + double rook sacrifice was shock after shock. And to top it all off, seeing Naka's facial expressions afterwards, that's the cherry on top. Thank you Agadmator for sharing this terribly exciting game :)

I wonder what does GM Wesly So think of Firouzja now, since he was the first (and only) GM to accuse him of cheating after he lost several matches to him back when Firo was still an IM. I guess his lesson is no matter who you are, the person who beats you is not necessarily cheating, they might actually be better than you !
@mstfici26856 жыл бұрын
With that said, although Firo is rocking in bullets and blits, he still has a long way in classic time control as the stats suggest. Nonetheless, he has a bright future.

Miyamoto Mushashi 'the greatest Japanese swordsman would have made a great chess player '' In single combat, the enemy sometimes loses timing and collapses. If you let this opportunity pass, he may recover and not be so negligent thereafter. Fix your eye on the enemy's collapse, and chase him, attacking so that you do not let him recover. You must do this. The chasing attack is with a strong spirit. You must utterly cut the enemy down so that he does not recover his position even a little. You must not even allow him time for breath''. This seems reasonable to me.

Amazing !!! ....... this one must become one of the “immortal” chess game ..... For common people like me, ... I still cannot comprehend, does this beautifully knitted mating “web” scheme by Firouzja came from deep analysis right from the opening stage or some kind of “grandmaster instinct” that react flawlessly to whatever problem arises in front of them???
@JoeeyTheeKangaroo4 жыл бұрын

@houtansadeghi4 жыл бұрын
The aim of the game is to mate. Firozja sacrifices the rooks and elephant (bishop) and several soldiers (pawns) to achieve that quickly. Naka is hoping to get there eventually. However the least valuable piece on the board (the soldier in the middle of the board) is single handedly holding everything together. Naka takes the annoying soldier in disgust sacrificing his beloved prime minister (queen) hoping to create another one on the next move. But it is too little too late. With all these pieces ( the greedy attitude to take the opponent pieces ) he has nothing to show for it. Wah what a game. It’s more than a game of chess. By the way, not surprising, I missed the romantic move. I would have been too scared to play that when most of my pieces are hanging. That’s the difference between firozja and us amateurs. Thanks for the game and I hope you are getting better yourself.
