The impact of climate change on lawyers’ practices

This webinar, organised by the European Lawyers Foundation (ELF) in conjunction with the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) was held on 27 February 2023. It attracted over 550 participants.
After a welcome from the Chair of ELF’s Board of Directors, there was a substantive introduction to the topic by the Chair of the CCBE’s Committee on Environment and Climate Change, and presentations subsequently on ‘Climate Conscious Lawyering’, ‘Recent climate change litigation in Europe’ and the question of whether climate change poses ethical challenges to lawyers.
