Does fasting helps with macular degeneration? I have RP and am hoping on regenerating my cells with fasting to stall or reverse macular degeneration. Any thoughts?

Thank you... you have answered many of the questions that I have been pondering. I am menopause for quite sometime and hot flashes were reduced when I started changing my eating habits and routine (activities). Weight loss was my primary reason to iF but after watching your videos... I have charged my focus... and start to see that I was able to lose weight but more importantly... worked at changing my environment (screen time, etc). Thank you so much for the encouragement. Keep up the good work. 😊

I’ve only started fasting three weeks ago. The benefits of increased energy and better night sleeps far outweigh the occasional hunger pain. I’m very interested in coming to your clinic. I attempted a longer fast and had a bad result. I would feel more comfortable in a setting with other people fasting and an experience and knowledgeable staff.

I'm really skinny and I do 5-10 day fast on my own from time to time. Today I am on the 2nd day and as I couldn't fall asleep I gave in,had 5 walnuts and a bell pepper. I hope it doesn't spike insulin too high although I will start from scratch tomorrow 😢. I think it is more about the mindset because when I am busy I tend to ignore the hunger very easily 😅. Great interview. Question 1: Is there a maximum amount where you should be worried about your daily weight loss rate(for men)? Meaning that you are losing weight at too fast rate? Question 2: Should you use supplement with prolonged fasting, if so, which supplements you recommend?

If burning fat requires more oxygen, how do you increase getting that oxygen?

The clinic will answer best but as an amateur I learned fat mainly leaves our bodies through exhalations - through our breath. So I thought if I huff and puff i can lose weight - it is not that simple of course because you have to exercise. however the oxygen intake and exhalation question is really interesting. In my opinion we shallow breath as we get older so relearning how to breath is important for overall well being. There are good books on this topic and useful inexpensive tools to strengthen our lungs. Amazon (US or DE have them). Exercise your lungs by blowing into these resistance devices twice a day for a few minutes really helps and as a side benefit it is also relaxing - almost meditative .My little pulse oximeter tells me my oxygen uptake is now pretty much at the max now, good enough to impress the nurses when I do my checkups.
