Large chandeliers hang over 2 story atriums, there are dozens of sorts of bulbs, fixtures are often intricate to disassemble. It is by no means a hellish job. They are constantly watching, listening you, evaluating your every word. The ones who work there for a longer time, are not even bothered to learn your name, or want to get to know you. Workforce is constantly fluctuating, so if you havent been work there for 3-4 months, they dont even want to really get to know you. But we have fruit days, which is nice. 11:42 I gotta wonder: what if the forgotten primarch was introduced into this world. If an ork invasion happens in a human world before primarch can fully mature, and thus taken as a slave for orks, eventually this primarch would obviously reign over all other orks as a warboss, if not a warlord. Imagine the success the resulting Waaagh would cause. The destruction, the evolution of orks also. It would take a legion to shatter them. It would also mean that Emps might see this son irredeemable. But the world cannot know about a primarch who sided with a xenos. Honestly the story writes itself. And would be a powerful, non-chaos or mutation reason that Emps would expunge one of 20 from all records.

Didn't Gulliman have knowledge of them, but decided to get mind wiped of it
@FormerGovernmentHumanАй бұрын
That would certainly be cool af but it’s now canon Guilliman and I think Dorne had their memories wiped of what happened because they had trouble dealing with it. They also cared about either both the missing primarchs or atleast one a great deal so had to have some background relationships with them. It’s also implied The Ultramarines took on alot of the lost legions hence their numbers. So a primarch that grew up on a world either allied or extremely tolerant of xenos who couldn’t handle the xenociding turned on the Emperor or they were turned by some xenos threat, mind slaved or something terrible. Maybe enslavers took control of them or the Rangdan. Just speculating, however as cool as it would be to have a umie primarch warbass as an avatar of gork and mork I don’t think it’s possible now.
@andrew3203Ай бұрын
All Primarchs were imbued at their creation with a Warp Spirit, crafted from myth and legend. Like the hydra, salamander, wolf, vampire etc. It is uncertain what archetype did the 'lost' Primarchs had, but going from what Corax has become, they may be lost into the Warp or became minor Chaos Gods like Malice.

32:15 My favorite Space Marine 2 servitor dialog is when a tech priest questions the servitor's efficiency, the dialog goes as follows. Tech Priest: Servitor, your efficiency levels are below optimal, explain. Servitor: Damage. Tech Priest: Define the damage. Servitor: Spine Compromised. Tech Priest: Have you not received pain suppressants? Servitor: Suppressants administered, damage severe. Tech Priest: (Sigh) Report to the surgical bay. If we can not replace the discs, you'll be put to some other use. Servitor: Compliance. The servitors answering with such melancholy makes for some dark comedy, but also shows how dehumanizing much of the imperium can be. Edit: Went full dodo and misspelt imperium as imperiam.

I remember you bringing up an administratum scribe in one of these as being boring and repetitive to the point of madness - as an autistic person, this would be like winning the jackpot, I think. I get to be in a nice, safe archive deep in a hive world, mostly left to myself to do the same thing every day, and praised for being overly meticulous? Oh yeah. Some days I'd rather live as an imperial scribe than do my actual real life job 😅

Luetin09 probably talks about the warp and time for an hour, then he decides that the imperium´s worst job segment subject is handled to completion.

To expand on the "Luminal Servant:" I'd imagine that the position is "honorary" or "penitent" on a starship. Someone is chosen and begins at one end of a ship, lighting every cande. Once. There is such an obnoxious amount of candles that it takes decades to re-light them all, finally at the end of their journey, the servant's body just shuts down out of sheer exhaustion or they're turned into a servitor to make one more round trip to replace candles that have run out of wax. As there are a thematically infinite number of people on ships, a Luminary Servant lights the "last candle" every 24 hours.

Two things: I watched that entire ad because I genuinely thought you really liked what you were advertising. My dog and I love to fall asleep to your videos. He lays by my phone and listens to you and I pass out.

You know what? That luminal servant part really made me realize what makes you, Baldermort and Arch stand out so far above most 40k lore channels is best showcased in your ability to speculate on it. (Calling Baldermort's stories speculating on 40k, but it works on the same principles) You don't speculate wildly or blindly - you have been thorough and diligent enough that you don't just know so many of the relevant minutiae that you seldomly end up making mistakes, but you know the tone of the Universe to the point that the results of your speculations reliably match it.

It was on this day, November 4, 2024, at 1242PM Central, I completed the Luetin WARHAMMER 40,000 - LORE / HISTORY [ In Order ] in its entirety. Thank you for the decade of work Lore Master.

Really enjoyed this, Tom. 100% the spirit of the game and best steps for progression. Very much needed after a round 5 scorched earth slap down last night!

I didn't know about door servitors until Dark Tide. My response was just that it seemed quite impractical (given you need those organic parts kept alive in an otherwise mechanical structure). And then thought, "Yeah, that tracks."

I'd like to thank Luetin for his work, but also something he's (imo) not praised enough for. Many of us Luetin's fans are not native-english speakers. Yet he articulates and enunciates so well, I've never needed the (rather shitty) automatically generated subtitles. I am convinced this gave him the ability to touch a much wider audience. Keep up the good work !

In regards to the luminal servant, something about maintaining a flame for the adeptus mechanicus is neat. A symbol of the spark of invention, our first expression of human ingenuity provided by the Omnissiah. Providing the spiritual impact of light and technological potential of its use.

Talking there about how the ordinary citizens of the imperium live their life’s mostly working… it got me thinking, what horrors do the children must be going through, with their parents being in their role almost all of the time, what happens when you are born, who keeps up with you. What about newborns in a toxic hive city, how do they survive. You ought to make a video on those topics in the future…

This slowly became my favorite series . I used to work in a paint factory , 40 celsius , no ventilation , opened acetone buckets and diluent , electric mixers not air powered , fire hazards , horrible bosses . Closest i've come to living In WH40k ....so far .

Truly the most soul crushing job in the imperium is that of candle ingiteorum. MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF CANDLES EVERYWHERE IN THE MOST POINTLESS AND ABSTRACT OF PLACES. YOU CITIZEN SHALL LIGHT THEM

Imagine a cathedral world, with chapels and temples so vast. their halls go for miles and miles, sections of which may even be dilapidated or abandoned. What dark things or people might reside in these unwatched places. Now imagine being a lowly Luminant who accidentally wandered into such a place..

I’m reminded of the Bloodlines novel, a group spends some 16 hours a day 7 days a week making Militarum uniforms. When they’re off work they get high af as it’s the only way to deal with the drudgery and misery.

Hey Luetin, have you ever thought about doing a lore Q&A? For you, it might be easier than a straight lore video (idk, I'm guessing). And for us, we can get answers to some of our specific unanswered questions. For example: does 40k just sort of hand wave away some of the harder sci-fi bits (like different planets having different gravity), or are there in-universe explanations? Love your channel.

I adore that art at 29:01 showing the EVA team fixing stuff on an imperial ship. The rudimentary pressure suits for disposable laborers. It looks like it doesn’t even have true life support, it’s just tethered back to the ship for oxygen. Absolutely we know that Space Marines, SOB, and some imperial guard armor is pressurized for use in the open void, but I’ve always wondered what the cheap base-line spacesuit for indentured workers looked like in 40K.
