Metro Corrections offers competitive benefits and pay, paid training, hazardous duty retirement, and opportunities for advancement. In the first year, you are awarded three weeks’ vacation.
Once recruits complete our training academy, graduates become sworn peace officers. Said plainly, peace officers keep the peace. You will learn how to de-escalate conflict and safely end a physical fight. Corrections officers are involved in the court process and learn to understand essential aspects of criminal law.
