The importance of getting the booster

During Governor Carney's Jan. 18 update on Delaware's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Karyl Rattay, Director of DHSS' Division of Public Health, discussed the importance of getting your booster dose of the vaccine if eligible. "We need to double down on increasing the number of Delawareans who have received their primary series and their booster shot," she said, noting for the week of January 3 through January 9, 60% of hospitalizations with COVID were unvaccinated and 72% of deaths were unvaccinated.
