It's clear how much you respect and revere James Baldwin. This video is a beautiful tribute, and I'm glad that I got to learn more about this amazing man.

If you love to read, you love him. A truly world citizen, he was too large for America. So thoughtful, so many facets. You stay well and remain positive and as always, your videos are always looked forward to and very much appreciated. Thank you.

I love Eartha Kitt - also, Grace Jones and Josephine Baker! Nina Simone, Koko Taylor... so many strong black singers and entertainers! France always seemed to be a safe haven for black creatives at that time (not without their issues, of course).

I see Sade post, I click, I watch, and I thoroughly ENJOY! I own only one book by Mr. Baldwin: Notes of a Native Son. While watching this, I placed a Giovanni's Room from my local library :)

It’s based off his works but have you seen “I Am Not Your Negro?” It’s a little interesting and cool take on Baldwin’s works. It doesn’t do a very good job on talking about Baldwin’s ideas of Black Masculinity but it’s still a good documentary.

I Finally have the hang of the pale pinky skintones. Darker skintones be like; tried and failed. In ways that would make any artist crinch :P
